BAYERN STAY FOUR CLEAR

A controlled and composed performance from Bayern, scoring twice to take all three points from Union Berlin and restore their four-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table. Lewandowski's 26th of the season opened the scoring before Pavard scored the 50th Bayern goal under Flick in the league, the best record of any coach in the league's history after 16 games.

ADDED TIME

We'll have three minutes of added time here in Berlin.
88'

INCREDIBLE STAT

Bayern have now scored 50 goals in the 16 Bundesliga games under Hansi Flick. With 3.1 goals per game, that is the best record for any coach in Bundesliga history.
80'

PAVARD MAKES IT TWO!

Corner Kimmich, header Pavard, 2-0 Bayern. The league leaders score from a set-piece against the Bundesliga's set-piece kings to give themselves a cushion in this game with less than 10 minutes to play.

GNABRY CLOSE AGAIN

Another good move from the winger as he plays Davies into the Union box down the left. It's a fantastic cut-back from Davies, showcasing his vision, as he finds Gnabry again. He beats on man and goes to shoot, but his effort is well-blocked by another Union defender.
76'

BAYERN GO SO CLOSE

A great counter-attack led by Gnabry, who charges up the pitch and finds Coman in space on the right side of the Union box. He goes to play the ball back across for Gnabry to tap home, but his slide isn't enough to catch up with the ball.
71'

BIG DAY FOR COMAN

The French winger comes on to make his 100th appearance in the Bundesliga - all for Bayern, of course.
71'

REINFORCEMENTS ON

Leading scorer Andersson is on for Union, while Gentner brings fresh legs and experience in midfield.
67'

THIS ONE STILL WIDE OPEN

So long as the scoreline stays like this, Union will not lose hope in getting a goal back even despite Bayern's control of proceedings. The away side not pressuring themselves to go and get a second goal, but it would certainly make things more comfortable for them.
64'

BAYERN IN CONTROL

While unable to construct any clear-cut chances on goal themselves, Bayern are keeping Union away from their own goal at the other end and holding onto the ball while doing so. It's been a measured approach by the league leaders.
57'

PRÖMEL FIRES WIDE

Ujah's flick-on from a throw-in falls to Prömel on the edge, but he can only send his half-volley wide across Manuel Neuer's goal.
54'

CLASS FROM MÜLLER

The Bayern forward beats the offside trap down the right flank and powers into the box. He cuts inside the sliding challenge of Hübner before chipping a ball to the back post, but Lewandowski's header down is blocked and cleared.
52'

UNION NOT WAVERING

The home side are still continuing to press Bayern. Long balls the order of the day, but perhaps a change is due soon with Andersson waiting in the wings.
48'

GORETZKA WITHIN INCHES

Fantastic one-two between Goretzka and Müller, whose backheel-pass sends Goretzka in on goal down the right. He fires a shot across goal, but it's deflected behind by Gikiewicz

SECOND HALF BEGINS

We're back underway for the second-half in Berlin without a change to either side during the break.

LEWANDOWSKI THE DIFFERENCE

In a tight and even first half, it was always going to be calmness in front of goal which would bring order to the day. Lewandowski supplying the cool touch to slot home from the spot just before the break for Bayern, his 40th goal of the season in all competitions - that's the fifth season in a row now that Lewandowski has hit the 40-mark. But Union can take confidence going into the second half knowing they also caused Bayern problems.

AMONG LEGENDS

Only one other Bundesliga player has scored 26 goals after 26 matches in a league season. That was done by Gerd Müller, three times in fact. Can Lewandowski get his 27th goal today as well?
40'

LEWANDOWSKI IS BACK!

Goal No. 26 in the Bundesliga this season for Lewandowski. It was a game of cat and mouse from the spot, with Gikiewicz not showing his fellow countryman where he was planning to go. In the end, Lewandowski went right and his shot was too strong for Gikiewicz to react to.

BAYERN PENALTY!

Goretzka is brought down by Subotic in the box and Lewandowski will step up...
37'

PRÖMEL DOWN

The Union midfielder has taken a knock and is receiving treatment after a late challenge from Alphonso Davies - which has seen the Canadian go into the referee's book.
32'

A HIGH BAYERN LINE

There is a clear tactic on show from the defending champions to play a more high defensive line. It's forcing Union to restrict their long balls or risk running offside, and so far has kept the home side to a minimal amount of chances while already falling to conceded SIX offsides in the first half.
30'

THE UNIQUE UNION STADION

If this is your first time following a game of Union Berlin in the Bundesliga, don't fret, this is also their first season. The 20,000-seater stadium they play in is - like them - one of the most unique in the Bundesliga. Three of the four sides are terraced, meaning fans stand to watch the game. Sadly, we're unable to enjoy the atmosphere that usually comes with it today.
27'

NEITHER SIDE ABLE TO TAKE CONTROL

Both teams have had chances in this game and being pushing the game their way. Union with their long balls, and Bayern with their possession and interplay. So far it's made for a very even game here in Berlin. Bayern looking the most likely to go ahead...
22'

BAYERN CLOSE AGAIN!

A fantastic pass from Alaba sends Davies on a sprint down the left. He smacks the ball across goal from close range and Gikiewicz parries it away, but it almost falls to Lewandowski in front of goal for what would have been a simple tap-in.
18'

GOAL RULED OUT

Thomas Müller thought he had put Bayern in front but the German was offside in doing so. A corner was flicked towards the back post and headed towards goal by Gnabry. In fact, his effort was goal-bound, but Müller poked the ball across the line from close range - only to see Video-Assist rule the goal out for offside.

UNION KEEPING PRESSURE ON

The home side know it will be difficult to play through Bayern, so they are trying to go past them on either side or over the top. Long balls are the order of the day whether up the pitch or across it and so far they are causing a few problems for the Bayern defence.
7'

UJAH THE NEXT TO HAVE A GO

A lovely long ball over the Bayern defence from Hübner finds Ujah in behind. His first touch doesn't help him, holding up the ball rather than putting it ahead of him but he is still able to get a shot away. It flies high over the crossbar though.
5'

BÜLTER WITH THE FIRST CHANCE

Union get the game's opening shot on target after great work from Ingvartsen down the right, sliding the ball beyond Davies at the touchline. His cut-back found Bülter, but his shot went straight at Neuer.
4'

EARLY TOUCHES

The away side having most of the early possession here, but neither side has had a real chance on goal thus far. It's more of a 4-3-3 for Bayern, with Müller on the right, Gnabry on the left and Goretzka in an advanced midfield role.

GNABRY AND MÜLLER SUPPORTING LEWANDOWSKI

The top scorer in the Bundesliga this season will have great support from Gnabry and Müller.  Gnabry has hit seven goals and four assists in his last 10 Bundesliga appearances. With 11 goals for the campaign, he is Bayern's next-best scorer after Lewandowski, while Müller has a league-leading 16 assists this season.

FISCHER NOT ON THE BENCH

Union head coach Urs Fischer is not in the dugout today for the home side due to personal reasons, with Markus Hoffmann taking charge of the side for today's game.

CAN UJAH STEP UP?

With leading scorer Sebastian Andersson only on the bench for Union, Anthony Ujah has been called upon to lead the line for the home side today. He'll have to support of an inspired squad around him who have gone above and beyond expectation to have Union clear of relegations. Captain Trimmel has set up a league-leading seven goals from corners so far this season, and could play a key role in getting Union a goal today.

CAN BAYERN CONTINUE WHERE THEY LEFT OFF?

It's fair to say that Bayern have been one of the most in-form teams in Europe in recent months. The defending Bundesliga champions are unbeaten in competitive games (11 in the Bundesliga) and ahead of this weekend, were four points clear of the leading pack. They will have to answer today after both Dortmund and Gladbach picked up wins.

BAYERN TEAM NEWS

He's back. Robert Lewandowski starts for Bayern Munich having missed the last two Bundesliga games before the break in play. The Pole is the league's top scorer this season with 25 in total, and will be looking to add to his total today. Elsewhere Ivan Perisic and Kingsley Coman are back in the squad after injury, both on the bench, while David Alaba celebrates his 259th Bundesliga game - moving him second all-time for an Austrian player in the club's history with only Andreas Herzog ahead of him.

UNION TEAM NEWS

The big news from the home side's line-ups is that top scorer Sebastian Andersson is only fit to start on the bench today. He's replaced by Anthony Ujah, making his first start since Matchday 19. It's only the second time this season that Andersson has started a league game on the bench, while Grischa Prömel makes his first start for the club since Matchday 2.
