SPOILS SHARED IN THE DERBY
Both Schalke and Borussia Dortmund had chances to win this, the 95th edition of the Revierderby, but neither were able to take them. The home side had the better of the play for most of the game with only Jadon Sancho able to register a shot on target for Dortmund, which he did three times. Dortmund sit third and Schalke seventh, separated by just a single point at the top of the table.

FINAL CHANCES?
The ball is being kept away from either side's goal here with a midfield battle resuming, but will we see any last-minute chances to win this game?
85'
REUS TAKES A KNOCK
A big tackle from Sane brings down the Dortmund captain, but he's back up now and able to continue.
78'
REUS AND SANCHO MISS THE MARK
Hazard's cross into the box just misses the head of Reus in the middle and the ball runs to the back post where Sancho controls. He has time to pick his spot on the half-volley, but slices his effort wide across the face of goal. It's all Dortmund here now.
76'
DORTMUND BUILDING PRESSURE
The away side are in more control here with half chances coming and going. Hakimi goes on a great run on the left, nutmegging Kenny but he's unable to get on the other end of it.
73'
SANCHO HAS ANOTHER GO
All three shots on target today for Dortmund have come from Sancho. The Englishman is found on the right flank again in space and goes for the near post, but Nübel is equal to it. It comes in the space of a few minutes in which Dortmund have been in more control and look threatening.
69'
MATONDO CAN'T FINISH ONE
The Welshman has another chance on goal here as he is played the ball by Kenny. He shoots at goal from the left side of the Dortmund box, opening up his body to go for the far top corner, but can't keep the ball on target.
69'
BURGSTALLER MISSES THE TARGET
Yet another fantastic corner from Oczipka is met by Burgstaller in the box. This time the Austrian forward meets it with his left foot on the stretch, and he can't keep it under control as the ball flies over the crossbar.
65'
25 TO GO...
We're looking for a moment of magic, or show of individual quality to separate these two teams. Until now it's been an even match with Dortmund's defence making up for their lack of attacking output. Will we see a difference-maker stamp their authority on this game?
60'
DELANEY DOWN
The Dane will be able to continue here, but blood is pouring from his nose after a collision in the box during a Schalke corner. He'll likely need a change of shirt after that.
57'
REUS AND HAZARD UP FRONT?
The Belgian comes on and it looks as if he will now partner the BVB captain in attack for Dortmund, with Sancho and Hakimi out on the wings in support.
53'
SANCHO WITHIN INCHES
A neat one-two between Sancho and a Dortmund teammate opens space for the Englishman to shoot at goal. His curling effort drifts just wide of the target with Nübel at full stretch.
50'
HITZ STOPS MATONDO AGAIN
The Welshman is in on goal again after Burgstaller's flick-on, but once again he can't put the ball past Hitz in the Dortmund goal. That's his only problem in an otherwise fantastic performance so far.
47'
BURGSTALLER HEADS AT GOAL...
Another set-piece causes problems as Oczipka swings it in onto Burgstaller's head. His glancing effort is cleared off the Dortmund line at the back post by Guerreiro.

SCHALKES HALF
A dominant display from the home side so far who have twice hit the woodwork and created a host of half-chances while dominating most of the ball. Dortmund's only chance on goal in the opening half came from Sancho inside two minutes, but Nübel was equal to it. Favre's side will have to step up their game in this second half or else Schalke could take the lead and keep it.

MATONDO IN ONE-ON-ONE!
The Welshman is played in on goal with only Hitz to beat. He composes himself and gets to within a few yards of Hitz before going for goal, but the Dortmund back-up makes a big block to keep him out. The linesman's flag is then raised for offside, but it may have come back after the replays indicated that he was onside.
40'
ALWAYS BATTLING
Schalke have been the better side in this first half, winning challenges, getting the ball forward and playing more fluid football. Matondo and Burgstaller are playing up front alongside Burgstaller and it's proving to work well for the home side, with one holding up play and the other running in behind.
33'
SERDAR HITS THE POST!
Schalke have gone within inches of scoring again and it would've been a gift. Harit's dinked through ball is met by Hummels, who smashes the ball into the face of Weigl and back towards his own goal. Serdar latches onto it and hits the inside of the near post, sending it across the face of goal and away.
32'
DORTMUND SEARCHING FOR THEIR GROOVE
So far Schalke have been able to keep the Dortmund attack quiet, besides Sancho's early shot from the edge of the box. Hakimi is being controlled by Kenny, but the real duels are happening in midfield and so far, Serdar and Mascarell are on top of Reus and even Götze, who is dropping deep to get involved.
28'
SANE HITS THE BAR!
A perfect corner swings in from Oczipka's left-foot and finds the head of the Schalke centre-back up from defence. He powers a header at goal, but it smashes back out into play off the crossbar.
24'
MIDFIELD BATTLE
Both sides struggling to keep the ball when they venture forward so far. Both defences will be pleased, but keeping the ball will be the instruction from both Wagner and Favre on the touchline. Neither side able to take full control.
18'
WELSH WONDER SO FAR
The winger earns a free-kick for his side and a yellow card for Weigl after a lovely exchange with Sane allowed him to poke the ball past the centre-back and force him into a late challenge. You can tell he is going to be dangerous throughout today.
12'
MATONDO FIGHTING
The Welshman is the focal point of the Schalke attack here and is causing Piszczek problems on the left wing. His pace is incredible and he's able to push the ball past the Polish veteran and latch onto it again with ease.
11'
PRESSING GALORE
Sancho, Hakimi and Götze work together the win the ball from Oczipka in the Schalke defence before Harit and Caligiuri do the same to Götze to win the ball back and counter. It ends with a shot being dragged wide by Harit, but a tell-tale sign of how this game will go.
8'
END-TO-END START
Schalke have had most of the attacking play and territory in this opening half, looking to make the most of the pace of Matondo with long balls. A half-chance has come for the Welshman, who was on the end of a loose ball in the box after Burgstaller had challenged with Witsel. As you'd imagine, it's loud and intense in Gelsenkirchen so far.

SANCHO GOES FOR GOAL!
The Englishman fires a shot at goal from the edge of the box, but Nübel makes a fantastic save to deny him from another Revierderby goal.

UNDERWAY IN SCHALKE!
The Revierderby is underway.
キックオフ
NÜBEL STARTS
The Schalke captain is leading his team out onto the pitch and is indeed fit to start this game.
NÜBEL INJURED IN THE WARM-UP?
The Schalke captain appears to have been injured in the warm-up here, meaning Markus Schubert could make his Bundesliga debut in this huge game. Nothing has been confirmed by Schalke.
DERBY PASSION
Schalke head coach David Wagner has been speaking to Sky about the passion of this game. "Usually it's something you have to try and get out of players for other games, but that's no question today. It's something you need, you want and you work towards." It'll be a packed crowed today and the atmosphere will be incredible, as always, at the Veltins-Arena.
FINALLY A GOAL FOR REUS AT THE VELTINS?
Dortmund captain Marco Reus has yet to find the net at Schalke's Veltins-Arena, and only scored one goal in his eight Revierderby appearances to date. Is today the day he cracks his Veltins-Arena duck to help Dortmund to their second win in a row away from home in this fixture?
HARIT AND CALIGIURI THE DERBY WARRIORS
Schalke's main men for the Revierderby in recent years both start as expected. Daniel Caligiuri has registered four goals and two assists in his last four meetings with Dortmund, while Amine Harit has one goal and one assist in his last two meetings with BVB. Both inspired comeback wins over Dortmund over the last two seasons and will be ready for more today.
MATONDO STARTS
The Welshman who helped run RB Leipzig into the ground on Matchday 6 starts again on the wing. Otherwise, it's as you'd expect with Suat Serdar starting in defensive midfield alongside Oscar Mascarell.
NO BÜRKI FOR BVB
The Dortmund No.1 is out with the flu today and is replaced by Marwin Hitz in the starting line-up. Meanwhile, Julian Weigl starts in defence again as he did in the week, but this time Manuel Akanji is on the bench. Raphael Guerreiro and Achraf Hakimi will operate down the left flank. Either can play at left-back or left-wing, and so we will wait to see exactly how they set up there.
