WATCH: HRADECKY: "EVERYONE'S ENJOYING PLAYING FOR LEVERKUSEN"
試合終了
90'
UTH SO CLOSE!
A cracking strike from Uth 20 yards from goal on his right foot. Hradecky is at full-stretch but can't reach it, and the ball glides just past the post.
90'
ADDED TIME
We'll have three minutes of added time at the end of this game.
88'
BELLARABI AT THE DOUBLE!
Two huge chances for the substitute as he shoots at Langer from inside the Schalke area. The ball falls back to him, but he sends his second effort high over the crossbar on the rebound.

WHAT IT MEANS
Three points will take Leverkusen in between Leipzig and Bayern to sit second in the Bundesliga after 10 matches played in 2020/21.
85'
LATE CHANGES
Fresh legs for the final five minutes or so for both sides here. The result is secure Leverkusen's way, though.
82'
SHOTS BLOCKED
Kabak has a go from range but sees his shot blocked before the same outcome comes for Raman on the second attempt.
78'
CLINICAL FROM SCHICK!
Having missed a couple of chances earlier on, Schick makes this one count. Amiri with a perfect through ball for him into the Schalke box and he smashes it across Langer with a superb first-time finish with his last action of the day.
74'
CHANGE OF TAC
It's a back three, or five, now for Leverkusen for the final 15 minutes with Schalke continuing to build pressure.
72'
HOPPE BOOKED
He brings down Bailey on the halfway line as he looked to break. Frustration really building now for Schalke.
72'
PENALTY MISSED!
Hradecky makes a fantastic save to deny Skrzybski and then he parries away the follow-up from Raman! A huge moment in this game to keep the lead at two goals.
70'
SCHALKE PENALTY!
The home side have been awarded a spot-kick after Sinkgraven's block on Serdar in the box.
69'
BAILEY BLOCKED!
Another break from Leverkusen as Schalke's defence opens up. He cuts back past one defender to shoot from inside the box, but it's blocked again. Plenty of chances have gone to waste today for Leverkusen.
67'
BAUMGARTLINGER HEADS HOME!
It's another set-piece goal for Leverkusen to double their lead. Bailey's corner to the near post is met by Baumgartlinger who is ahead of Hoppe to reach the ball, and his glancing header glides to the back post and in beyond Langer.
66'
WHAT A HIT!
A great strike from Baumgartlinger after Schick's lay-off but Langer continues to cover himself in glory with a superb save.
66'
LEVERKUSEN MUST BE CAREFUL
Bosz will be telling his side they need a second goal here to make sure of the points. As long as it stays as only 0-1, Schalke will believe they can snatch something here.
65'
HOPPE ON!
The American is on for his second Bundesliga appearance after his debut last weekend, replacing Boujellab.
61'
CLOSE AGAIN!
Another break as Wirtz finds Bailey in heaps of space on the right. He races into the box and clips the ball to the back post for Schick, but the striker can't connect with his header from just in front of goal.
59'
NOW FOR TAH
Leverkusen's other centre-back with a late challenge on Boujellab.
58'
DRAGOVIC CAUTIONED
The defender is the first Leverkusen player in the referee's book today.
57'
SCHALKE ON THE UP
Better from Schalke in the last five minutes here. Baum's side have been pushing the ball up the pitch quickly and harrying the Leverkusen defence with pressure from their forward line. Still, Leverkusen are threatening when they come forward.
54'
SCHALKE ON THE BREAK
A long ball over the top is latched onto by Raman and he has two players in support on his right. He reaches the ball but Sinkgraven is across well to make a crucial block.

AMIRI FREE-KICK!
It's Amiri and Bailey standing over the ball 25 yards from goal, and Amiri steps up to whip it at goal. It's over the wall but Langer is well-placed to make a comfortable save.
49'
LEVERKUSEN ON THE HUNT AGAIN
No changes at the break and no changes to the tempo of this game in the opening five minutes of the second half. Schalke with their backs to goal with Leverkusen piling the pressure on, even out of possession.
46'
BACK UNDERWAY!
The ball is rolling again in Gelsenkirchen for the second half here.

45'
ADDED TIME
Just the one minute of time added on at the end of the first half.
44'
SCHICK HAS A GO
A rasping shot from Shick as he cut inside past Mascarell onto his left foot. Langer is across goal well to make a punching save.
43'
DIABY FROM DISTANCE
The Frenchman is found in space by Bender but lashes his shot high and wide of goal. Approaching the break it's Leverkusen who have looked the most likely to add to the score but neither side will be satisfied with how the first half has unfolded.
39'
ALL THE INCENTIVE TO WIN
With all the teams around them dropping points - Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund, Gladbach and Wolfsburg all drawing - this could be a huge win for Leverkusen as they look to make themselves a real part of the title race.
36'
BAILEY FORCES A SAVE
A fantastic counter-attack from Leverkusen with one and two-touch play sending them up the pitch. Wirtz finds Bailey on the right side of Schalke's box and he cuts inside to shoot at goal. Langer parries it away to keep the score as it is.
36'
BAYER ON THE BALL
32'
GOAL RULED OUT!
Schalke have the ball in the Leverkusen net but it's called back for offside. Uth was sent in behind the Leverkusen defence and cut the ball back for Boujellab, who provided a fantastic finish past Hradecky across goal. But Uth was offside when the first pass forward was made.
31'
LEVERKUSEN NOT CLINICAL
A great recovering tackle from Stambouli denies Diaby as he races in behind the Schalke defence to reach a long ball from Tah. Bosz won't be too happy that it's still only a one-goal lead here, though. Far more chances going wide than testing the goalkeeper.
25'
GOOD CHANCE
The ball runs loose at the edge of the Leverkusen box for Skrzybski to strike at goal. It's on his weaker left foot, though, and it drags wide of the mark. Schalke beginning to show some fight and resolve.
24'
ONE-WAY TRAFFIC
Leverkusen aren't playing with total confidence here, but the ball is only really going in one direction so far. Schalke just can't seem to keep the ball for long enough with the away side's pressing doing the business thus far.
21'
WIRTZ JUST WIDE
A corner goes low into the box from Amiri and Wirtz races to the near post to meet it. He flicks it goalward with his instep, but just drags the effort wide.
20'
A BIG DAY FOR LANGER
We haven't mentioned it previously, but Michael Langer will be a nervous man in the Schalke goal on a huge day for him. He played his only Bundesliga game so far on March 10, 2007 in the title-winning season of Stuttgart, against Wolfsburg (0-0). This game was 13 years and 271 days ago; There was only one player in Bundesliga history that had more time between two games: Wolfgang Böhni played for KSC in 1966 and then again in 1983 for Mannheim.

WHAT A MISS FROM SCHICK!
A wonderful curling cross from Diaby on the left finds Schick right in front of goal with Langer stranded. He doesn't realise where he is and goes for a volley as he opens up his right foot, but misses the ball with the goal gaping.
15'
AS THINGS STAND
With three points, Leverkusen will secure second place behind Bayern Munich for the coming week.
12'
BAILEY IN ON GOAL
The Jamaican is one-on-one with Langer down the right and opens up to shoot with his left. But Langer is out quickly to close the angle and makes a good save from right in front of the Leverkusen winger.
10'
THIAW WITH AN OWN-GOAL!
A fantastic corner from Bailey on the left is a nightmare for Schalke to defend. It's Dragovic challenging behind Thiaw and in the end the young defender is forced to make an attempt at heading the ball clear. In doing so, he can only head the ball past his own goalkeeper.

END-TO-END
The midfield is wide open here so far as Leverkusen intercept a pass and push forward on the counter. Leverkusen's defence at the other side is looking insecure as well, so neither side will be delighted with the start they have made.
7'
GOOD OPENING
A big chance for the home side as Raman is sent in behind the Leverkusen defence. There's Uth waiting in the box two his right and he looks for him in front of the Leverkusen goal, but a fantastic last-ditch challenge from Sinkgraven denies Schalke.
6'
NOT FAR AWAY
The first Leverkusen move forward as Diaby is found down the channel. He clips the ball across and Schick almost heads home but the ball runs through to the back post where Bailey is waiting. He shoots with his right but can only find the side-netting.
5'
SCHALKE SET UP
You can see as our line-ups update that it's a four-man defence for the home side. Thiaw is at right-back, with Kabak and Stambouli in the middle and Oczipka on the left.
2'
FRESH LEGS?
Leverkusen have already played 5 competitive games more than Schalke this season. They may be in far better form than their hosts, but they will be tested again this evening.

KICK-OFF COMING
The players are making their way out onto the pitch and we're almost ready to get going...
BAYER BOSSING THINGS
Leverkusen have won their last three away games in a row, and are unbeaten across the first nine matches of a season for the third time in their history. Bayer are also unbeaten on the last six trips to Schalke, claiming 16 points.
SCHALKE'S STRUGGLES
Schalke are second to Tasmania Berlin in the longest winless streak department (31 matches). Somewhat ominously for the Royal Blues, Tasmania had also scored six and shipped 28 nine matches into their only season in the Bundesliga. Like Tasmania, the other seven Bundesliga clubs with six goals for and 28 against after nine rounds of fixtures were all relegated.
SCHALKE TEAM NEWS
Serdar, the club's seven-goal top scorer from midfield in 2019/20, has started the last two following injury, but influential defender Sane and Frankfurt loanee Paciencia remain on the sidelines with knee problems. American Hoppe was handed a surprise debut against Gladbach after being called up from the U23s. He is in the squad again, while left-back Oczipka starts after passing a last-minute fitness check. Goalkeeper Langer is handed a debut with both Rönnow and Fährmann out with injuries.
LEVERKUSEN TEAM NEWS
Die Werkself ran out 3-2 winners to seal their place in the Europa League last 32 with a game to spare. Wirtz and Bailey both return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench in Nice, while Schick continuing in attack in Alario's absence. Defender Sven Bender is only fit enough for the bench, but Sinkgraven resumes duties at left-back. Club captain Aranguiz is still out with a muscle injury sustained in October.
