HAALAND AT IT AGAIN!
Dortmund rubbing salt in the Schalke wounds as Sancho plays Bellingham in behind the Schalke defence in the area. He immediately fires the ball low across goal and Haaland is in the right place to poke it home to complete his brace. That's 17 goals in 17 games this season, and 30 goals in 32 games overall in the Bundesliga.

TIME TICKING ON
Schalke have shown promise but have lacked the clinical touch in front of goal. With time ticking on, it's looking more and more like a Dortmund double over their Ruhr rivals for 2020/21.
73'
NOT GIVING UP
The home side are continuing to push on and it's Becker who slides the ball wide of goal with their 13th attempt on goal of the game. Dortmund have had just seven shots today, but have scored from three of them.

HEATING UP
Morey has been in the wars in the last few minutes. He was on the end of a big challenge from Kolasinac which earned him a yellow, and now he's been pushed to the ground off the ball by Stambouli.

A third yellow in four minutes here with the heat rising. Schalke's captain cautioned for a foul on Morey.

ANOTHER CHANGE
Raman comes on for Hoppe with just over 20 minutes to play. More pace in the Schalke attack, and it's not been Hoppe's day today.

AGAINST THE RUN OF PLAY!
Dortmund had barely got out of their own half in the first 10 minutes of the second half, but they take their first chance of the period. Guerreiro finds Reus in the Schalke area, and he returns the pass to the Portugal international to slot home past Langer. That could be game, set and match to Dortmund already!

ALL SCHALKE HERE!
The home side have Dortmund under the cosh as Hummels fumbles possession in his own area but Hoppe can't get a shot away before Hitz is out to block him. A fantastic start to the half from Schalke.
51'
SERDAR HITS THE POST!
What a huge chance for Schalke as Becker's cross is cleared only as far as Serdar around the penalty spot and his shot is tipped onto his own post by Hitz before it bounces back across goal and is cleared by the Dortmund defence. That would have been huge for Schalke!
50'
BRIGHT START
A tidy pass from Harit behind Delaney finds Serdar's run towards the Dortmund goal, but Can makes a fantastic challenge to put the ball out back off Serdar for a goal kick. But Schalke have started this second half well.

WHAT A GOAL FROM HAALAND!
One of the best goals you will see in the Revierderby and probably Haaland's best yet in the Bundesliga. Sancho has the ball on the left and floats a cross towards the back post where Haaland finds space from Oczipka. He floats in the air, meeting the ball on the full volley with both feet off the floor before smashing the ball into the bottom corner back across goal. What a stunning finish, what a stunning player.
42'
SANCHO WITH THE OPENER!
Dortmund have the lead before the break and it's that man, Jadon Sancho. Stambouli loses out to Morey in possession just outside his own area and the ball comes to Sancho. He has space to pick his spot from 16 yards, and fires past Langer at his near post. He pats the BVB badge in front of the camera in his celebration after a big goal before the break.
41'
DAHOUD ON FORM
The Dortmund midfielder has had the most shots in the first half, covered the most distance of any player and won 100% of his challenges.

DAHOUD SHOT SAVED!
Dortmund probe again with Haaland found by Reus. Oczipka challenges him well but the loose ball falls to Dahoud on the edge of the Schalke area and he fires a low shot at goal. Langer is down well to make his first save since coming on.
34'
SEARCHING FOR THEIR GROOVE
We've seen plenty of possession in the Schalke half for Dortmund, but they're just not clicking in attack so far. Plenty of passing and movement off the ball, but it's been the final passes which haven't quite come off in this first half.
31'
FÄHRMANN COMING OFF
The Schalke No.1 can't continue here with an injury to his stomach and Michael Langer is being prepared on the sideline.
28'
SCHALKE BREAK
It's a 2-on-2 with Harit and Hoppe leading a Schalke break. Harit takes too long in the end, and his shot is blocked by Delaney who had recovered on the edge of the area. Serdar is on the rebound but Delaney blocks again.
24'
KNOCK FOR FÄHRMANN
The Schalke goalkeeper appears to have picked up a knock to his stomach in that challenge, clearing Reus' cross. He's taking treatment now and will of course want to continue.
23'
CHANCES!
Haaland closes down Fährmann whose clearance only goes to Sancho on the edge of the area, but he can't control the ball to get a shot away. Dortmund recycle it and Haaland sends Reus in to the byline. His cut-back forces Fährmann to block and Schalke can clear.
20'
ALMOST FOR HOPPE!
Schalke break fantastically down the right with William sent in behind the Dortmund defence. He spots Hoppe in the middle and looks to dink the ball across to him, but Can is in the right place to make a crucial headed clearance.
18'
NOT ALL CLICKING
Dortmund have had most of the possession but their final pass has been lacking so far. Haaland has only been found once to get a shot away on goal, while Reus and Sancho have not been as involved as Edin Terzic would like.

HOPPE BOOKED
A late challenge from Hoppe on Delaney and the first yellow card of the game goes the American's way.

SHOT BLOCKED!
Dahoud has space ahead of him in midfield and fires a shot towards goal. It's deflected off Thiaw and goes out for a corner, already Dortmund's second.

WIDE-OPEN GAME!
Dortmund finding plenty of space between Schalke's defence and midfield in the early stages, while Schalke have also looked threatening when they have taken the ball towards the Dortmund penalty area. It's intense and it's free-flowing so far.
7'
BIG CHANCE!
Haaland latches onto a loose ball in front of the back-peddling Schalke defence and plays Sancho in to his left. He cuts inside past Thiaw into the area, but his shot is straight at Fährmann who saves and gathers at the second attempt.
6'
HAALAND GETTING INVOLVED
Lovely dribbling from Dahoud and a precision pass forward to Haaland gives the Dortmund striker a first sight at goal. He gets a quick shot away but it's blocked behind off Oczipka.
3'
ON THE BALL EARLY
It's a 4-2-3-1 formation for Dortmund here by the looks of things, and the away side having enjoyed most of the early possession. Brandt, Reus and Sancho constantly interchanging positions in front of Haaland.
1'
KOLASINAC FIRES WIDE
An early go at goal as Kolasinac finds himself in space on the left, just outside of the Dortmund area. He flashes a shot high and wide as an early warning sign to the Dortmund defence.

LINE-UP UPDATE!
A blow for Schalke, as Shkodran Mustafi has been injured in the warm-up and can't play. Bastian Oczipka will come in and place in the centre of defence.
15-MINUTE WARNING!
Kick-off is fast approaching here in Gelsenkirchen for what is set to be a massive night for both Schalke and Dortmund. Neither side is in the form they'd be hoping for, and both are desperate for points to help them achieve their goals for the rest of the season. As we know, form goes out the window in these games. 90 minutes, all or nothing. It's almost time for the Revierderby.

HOPPE TO MAKE HISTORY?
The Royal Blues have claimed more points in eight matches under Christian Gross (five) than in their previous 12 (four). Hoppe is Schalke's five-goal top scorer and has been their recent inspiration, despite only making his Bundesliga debut at the end of November. Should the American find the net today, he will be the first from across the pond to score in the Revierderby.
CAN HAALAND INSPIRE?
Dortmund have lost three successive away games for the first time in six years, but are unbeaten in five at home under Terzic (W3, D2). But, they do have Erling Haaland, and the BVB No.9 has scored as many Bundesliga goals in 2020/21 as the entire Schalke team (15).

GROSS: “WE’RE MORE DESPERATE FOR THE POINTS”
Schalke head coach Christian Gross is well aware of the significance of the fixture as he goes into his first Revierderby: “We’re more desperate for the points than Dortmund so that we can avoid relegation, so it’s a match with a lot riding on it. We’ve studied attacking situations this week which will hopefully lead to some success. Just like always, we need to find a balance. On the one hand, we need the points and need to attack, but on the other, we can’t neglect the defensive side of the game.”
TERZIC: “THERE’S NOTHING BETTER THAN A DERBY WIN”
Dortmund’s interim head coach Edin Terzic gave his thoughts on the game at his pre-match press conference on Friday: “They’re the most emotional games in a season. The fans want you to give absolutely everything for this jersey. Everyone knows you have to win the derby. As a ‘Borusse’, there’s nothing better than a derby win. I’m expecting Schalke to put all their problems to one side in order to try to win. They’ll be very aggressive. That’s how the all games have been in recent years.”
FINELY BALANCED
This is the 106th competitive meeting between the teams, and 98th in the Bundesliga. Of that overall total, Dortmund marginally have the historical edge with 37 wins to Schalke's 36, with 32 draws. BVB have won the two most recent games, but they haven't enjoyed their visits to Schalke of late, drawing three, losing one and winning just one of their last five.

THE STAKES
Dortmund picked up an impressive 3-2 win away to Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday, but they've been hit and miss in the Bundesliga lately, earning just four points from the last 15 available. That has left BVB sixth in the table, six points behind Eintracht Frankfurt in fourth. Schalke, meanwhile, have taken just two points from their last five games and remain bottom of the table, nine points from outright safety.
