CHERRY ON TOP
Freiburg really rub salt into the wound. A brilliant diagonal ball over the top to Schmid, who puts a tidy finish past Horn to make it 4-1.

GAME, SET AND MATCH
Cologne had committed men forward to chase the equaliser, but Freiburg counter as Grifo plays the ball over the top for Höler to run onto. There's no catching him and he lays it to his left with the Italy international arriving to blast home his ninth of the season into an empty net.

IT DOESN'T COUNT!
Cologne are off celebrating as Thielmann latches onto a bouncing ball and thrashes it past Flekken, but referee Fritz spotted that Hector had brought the ball down with his arm and rules it out.

GREAT SAVE FROM HORN!
A chance for Höfler to finish things as he picks up the ball on the edge of the area and drills one towards goal, but Horn flings himself to his right with a strong hand to deny him.

HECTOR AND LIENHART DOWN
The pair both need treatment after a collision and play has halted for the moment.

COLOGNE FREE-KICK
Thielmann is brought down by Lienhart a little under 25 yards from goal. The Austrian is shown yellow and allows Duda a chance to make amends from the set piece, but he puts his shot straight into the wall.

FINAL ROLL
Funkel makes his last two substitutions as he seeks to force an equaliser. Holding midfielder Ellyes Skhiri is off for the creativity of Max Meyer, and attacking midfielder Salih Özcan comes on for right-back Kingsley Ehizibue.
76'
GRIFO WIDE
A throw-in from the left sits up nicely for Grifo to the left edge of the box. He goes for the far corner but his effort swerves away from the post.

FUNKEL REACTS
The Cologne coach sends on two pairs of fresh legs in attack.

DUDA MISSES!
Could that be Cologne's season right there? Duda is the man to take, having converted all three of his previous Bundesliga penalties, but he slips just at the wrong moment, in the end hitting his shot against his standing foot and over.

VAR CHECK
Referee Fritz has been told by Sören Storks across the river in Deutz to go take another look. He does eventually stick with his original decision.
58'
PENALTY COLOGNE!
Jakobs yet again, being playing in behind just past the halfway line. He gets into the box and Kübler races across and takes him down. Referee Fritz points straight to the spot.

KAINZ!
Cologne look a completely new team with Jakobs. He's in the thick of it again down the left, crossing deep for his wing partner on the other side. Kainz positions himself for the volley but doesn't quite get it right as he flashes it wide.

WHAT A FINISH!
Just what Cologne needed and it's a touch of brilliance from Andersson. Jakobs with the low cross from the left. It's behind the striker but he angles his leg just right and gets the perfect contact to send it flying past Flekken. Game on!

ANDERSSON BOOKED
The big Swedish striker catches Gulde and is given his first caution of the season.

JAKOBS ON
Cologne had to change something for the second half, and Friedhelm Funkel sends on Ismail Jakobs for Marius Wolf on the wing. Freiburg resume with the team that started the game.

HALF-TIME
Clinical from Freiburg who hold the lead thanks to Petersen and Demirovic. Cologne have been rather toothless and will need to step things up big time in the second half if they’re to turn this around.

YELLOW FOR DEMIROVIC
The scorer of the second pulls back Ehizibue and it's one apiece for bookings.

SALLAI THROUGH!
The Hungarian is played through the Cologne defence and only has Horn to beat, but the goalkeeper makes himself big and wide to make the save on the angle. The first save we've seen in this game.

DEJA-VU
It was 2-0 to Freiburg after 39 minutes in the reverse fixture. That was also the score at half-time before SCF ran out 5-0 winners.

HORN IN THE BOOK
The Cologne left-back pulls back Sallai on the run and is shown the first card of the game.

NOT YET TESTED
We're actually still yet to see a save made in this game. Freiburg have been deadly efficient, while Cologne are yet to force the returning Flekken into action.

QUICKFIRE FROM FREIBURG!
No gift this time as the visitors carve Cologne apart. Great quick play down the right sees Sallai in behind. He squares across goal with Grifo coming in around the back. He goes for goal at a narrow angle but Demirovic is there to guide it in completely free two yards out. Both strikers have now scored on their first start together.
18'
PETERSEN STRIKES!
Freiburg's all-time top scorer strikes on his first start since February. Cologne fail to clear their lines, Skhiri trying to pass to Bornauw inside his own box, and Petersen nips in and slots past Horn for his eighth goal of the season. Disaster for Cologne, a gift for Freiburg.
17'
DUDA WIDE
The Slovakian is the man to take it just to the left of centre. He goes for bend and power looking for the far corner, but just misses the target.
16'
DANGEROUS FREE-KICK
Keitel upends Duda on the edge of the box. Referee Fritz waits to see if there's an advantage with the ball falling to Hector, but blows for the foul on the edge of the D.
14'
LIENHART OVER
A Grifo free-kick from deep is headed clear. Lienhart stays up in the box, though, waiting for a follow-up cross from Günter on the left. It does come and the Austrian meets it unmarked, but fails to test Timo Horn in the Cologne goal.
11'
CZICHOS WIDE
Jannes Horn's long throw is put behind by a rather uncertain Höfler. Hector's ensuing corner is met by Czichos, but he puts his header wide.
10'
HEALTH AND SAFETY HECTOR
The Cologne captain is playing in a slightly more advanced position once again. He forces Lienhart into putting the ball out for a throw high up the pitch, but as he tries to take it quickly, Hector almost trips on a wire from the camera/microphone down there and points out the health and safety hazard to the technicians.

MOMENTS AWAY
Here come the two teams at the RheinEnergieStadion. Sunday's Bundesliga action only moments away...
FREIBURG CAN ENJOY THEMSELVES
Freiburg began the matchday in the comfort of ninth place. The threat of relegation disappeared weeks ago, whereas hopes of a higher finish were severely damaged by a 3-0 defeat to Hertha on Thursday night. However, there are still targets to be achieved. Freiburg still have the chance to finish inside the top half in two consecutive Bundesliga seasons for the first time.
CAN COLOGNE DO IT?
The Billy Goats' recent pair of victories have boosted their survival hopes. They remain in 17th place, but they are just two points adrift of Bremen in 14th. Following this game against Freiburg, they face fellow strugglers Hertha before ending the season with a match against already relegated Schalke. Cologne took just four points from these three games in the Hinrunde – a repeat performance may not be enough for Funkel’s side.

FREIBURG TEAM NEWS
It’s a change of personnel and shape by Christian Streich compared to the 3-0 loss to Hertha on Thursday. A 3-4-3 becomes a 4-4-2 with all-time top scorer Nils Petersen making his first start since February partnering Ermedin Demirovic up top. Lukas Kübler replaces Jonathan Schmid at an orthodox right-back. Lucas Höler, Keven Schlotterbeck and Baptiste Santamaria drop to the bench. Former Cologne defender Dominique Heintz is out with a back problem - the first match he's missed since joining Freiburg. There is also a change in goal with Streich confirming that fit-again Mark Flekken will start the final three games of the season. Florian Müller, on loan from Mainz, will be rested after not previously missing a single minute of the campaign.
COLOGNE TEAM NEWS
Cologne boss Friedhelm Funkel opts not to mess with a winning formula, with his only change from the team that started their 3-2 win at Augsburg a fortnight ago the return of Kingsley Ehizibue for Benno Schmitz after suspension. The Billy Goats desperately need a repeat of that result today. They are currently in the automatic relegation zone but only a point off Bielefeld and Hertha above them – who play each other this evening – and two behind Bremen.
