BUNDESLIGA HISTORY

At 16 years and one day old, Youssoufa Moukoko comes on to become the youngest player in the history of the Bundesliga. A huge smile on his face as he replaces Erling Haaland.

FOUR FOR HAALAND!

Unbelievable again from Haaland who immediately scores again for Dortmund. He dribbles through a couple of Hertha players and finds Bellingham, who then returns the ball to him superbly to go in on goal and he duly slots the ball past Schwolow. Just 44 seconds between Cunha's goal and Haaland's fourth. WOW!

SHELL-SHOCKED

GUERREIRO MAKES IT FOUR!

That should seal the points in Berlin for Borussia. Reus finds Meunier on the right side of Hertha's penalty area in space and he cuts back towards Guerreiro. INCREDIBLE! Dortmund's No.9 has a hat-trick inside 15 second half minutes. Plattenhardt's backpass misses Alderete and Haaland latches on. CLOSE FROM LUKEBAKIO!

A lightning-fast counter from Hertha almost ends in a goal, as Lukebakio sprints away from Witsel in the middle of the park, striding forward to the edge of the Dortmund penalty area. He unleashes a vicious left-footed strike, but it's always rising and fizzes just off target.
6'

REUS ALMOST IN

Witsel plays a brilliant ball forward into Reus' path. If he can just nick it past the last defender he'll be through on goal, but the BVB captain's touch isn't quite right and Hertha can clear.

LEIPZIG DRAW

The final whistle has just blown in Frankfurt, where Leipzig have been held to a 1-1 draw with Eintracht. Alongside Bayern, that's two title contenders who have dropped points today, so this is a big opportunity for Dortmund. Victory would take them up to second place with 18 points (ahead of Bayer Leverkusen on goal difference), one point behind Bayern and one ahead of Leipzig.

CAREFUL OF CUNHA

For all the pre-match attention surrounding Haaland and Moukoko, it shouldn't be forgotten that Hertha have a pretty nifty forward of their own. Brazil international Cunha has four goals and two assists so far this term, accounting for 46 per cent of all his side's league goals. Any lapses in the Dortmund defence will be ruthlessly exploited.

MOUKOKO CONTEXT

To put Moukoko's place on the bench here into perspective, the league's current youngest player of all time is Nuri Sahin, who made his debut for Dortmund on 6 August 2005 at the age of 16 years and 335 days. That's a full 11 months older than Moukoko is now. Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz set a new record as the Bundesliga's all-time youngest goalscorer, finding the net against Bayern Munich aged 17 years and 34 days in June this year.

HERTHA IN THE HOUSE

HERTHA LOOKING TO FIND HOME COMFORTS

Hertha's 3-0 win at Augsburg was Labbadia's 100th Bundesliga win as a coach. Only opposite number Lucien Favre, with 151 victories from 303 games, has more among current managers. However, both of the Old Lady's wins this season have come away from home. They have only picked up a single point from the Olympiastadion so far.

WATCH: MEET MOUKOKO - DORTMUND'S GENERATIONAL TALENT

HERTHA TEAM NEWS

It's largely as you'd expected from the home side. Niklas Stark will look to hold up the Hertha midfield with Vladimir Darida and Mateo Guendouzi going box-to-box either side of him. Meanwhile, Matheus Cunha is back from international duty with Brazil and starts alongside Dodi Lukebakio and Krzysztof Piatek.

DORTMUND TEAM NEWS

The headline news from Favre's squad is that Youssoufa Moukoko is indeed on the bench. The 16-year-old waiting and ready to become the Bundesliga's youngest-ever player. He's joined on the bench by Jadon Sancho, Gio Reyna and Jude Bellingham who all returned from international duty. Julian Brandt and Marco Reus are the closest support for Erling Haaland in attack.

MOUKOKO DEBUT?

History could be written at the Olympiastadion today if Dortmund wunderkind Youssoufa Moukoko is included in the away team's squad. The striker, who only turned 16 yesterday, would become the youngest player in the league's history if he takes to the pitch. Logically, he would also become the youngest ever scorer, should he find the net. With 141 goals in 88 youth games for the club, including 13 in just four appearances for the club's U19 side this season, that is not as far-fetched an idea as it might appear at first glance.

HISTORY ON DORTMUND'S SIDE

BVB have the upper hand in this fixture historically, winning 30 of the 66 Bundesliga meetings to date. Hertha have won 18, with 18 draws, but the Old Lady's last win was back in March 2017. Since then, they have lost four and drawn two.

COACHES CORNER

HOME CURSE FOR HERTHA

The visitors will be optimistic of picking up a result in the German capital as Hertha are yet to win on home turf in the Bundesliga this season. One draw and two defeats, with just two goals scored and six conceded, is their return so far; only bottom club Mainz have a worse record on their own patch.

BIG CHANCE FOR DORTMUND

Bayern Munich's unexpected slip-up earlier today - they came from behind to draw 1-1 at home to Werder Bremen - means BVB could move to withing a single point of the defending champions with a win here today. Given that Hansi Flick's side only rarely drop points (with 45 wins from his 50 games in charge), this is an opportunity Dortmund can ill afford to let slip.
