HOFFENHEIM CLIMB
Hoffenheim join Leipzig, Freiburg and Union Berlin in a four-team share of fourth place, with goal difference ranking them fifth, seven goals inferior to Leipzig. A deserved win which could have been greater, and with goal difference potentially a clincher, they will probably be frustrated not to have scored more.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
Bielefeld have never beaten Hoffenheim in competitive action. The teams have met five times previously in the Bundesliga, with Hoffenheim taking the spoils on both occasions in the 2008/09 campaign. The three most recent games - two last season and one on Matchday 22 this term - have all ended in draws (0-0, 1-1, 0-0).
THE STAKES
Hoffenheim have slipped from third to eighth in the table over the last few weeks following a dispiriting run of results including three successive league defeats an elimination from the DFB Cup. Sebastian Hoeneß's side remain nine points clear of the drop zone, so there is no imminent danger, but they will be eager to buck the trend as soon as possible. Bielefeld, by contrast, are in fine form and are unbeaten in their last six Bundesliga assignments (W3 D3). They've climbed to 15th as a result, but are still very much in the thick of a relegation battle.
