ALL-ACTION FINALE

Hernandez again to stop a superb bit of play and the cross from Da Costa. Moments later, Choupo-Moting enters the fray in place of Coman. The game is very stretched...
85'

HEROIC

Borre's offside as he races in on Ulreich's goal, but Hernandez isn't to know. The Bayern defender, on a booking, makes a huge goal-saving challenge, before the whistle sounds.
83'

TACTICAL CHANGES

Musiala, having put in a lively shift, makes way for a more classic central midfielder in Marc Roca. Playmaker Daichi Kamada and striker Sam Lammers are on for Frankfurt. Messrs Lindstrom and Hrustic leave the field of play.
81'

TRAPP AGAIN

Bayern break with Sane. Gnabry's pass across the box is heavy, but Lewandowski still makes something of it. Trapp telegraphs it, though, and is out to make another telling block - with his head.
79'

HAUGE JOINS THE ACTION

Another attacking change for Frankfurt as AC Milan loanee Jens Petter Hauge replaces left-back Christopher Lenz. Can Frankfurt find a second wind?
74'

BAYERN GO UP A GEAR

Musiala spins his marker, opening the space in front of the Frankfurt goal. Lewandowski's crowded out, and Coman's eventual cross is put behind for a corner. Bayern pushing hard for a second...
71'

LEEEEEROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

SAAAAANNNNE! Bayern get the breakthrough. Brilliant movement from Musiala in midfield. He takes a few Frankfurt shirts with him before finding Kimmich. The Bayern midfielder only has eyes for the run of Sane, who gets into the box and rolls it past the advancing Trapp. Instant impact!

FRESH FACES

Nagelsmann turns to Sane, with Sabitzer making way. Glasner also rolls the dice as top scorer Borre replaces young Knauff. Positive and attacking from both men.
65'

BIG, BIG CHANCE!

Kimmich concedes a free-kick on the right-hand side of the Bayern area. Lindstrom goes for a dummy run, with Kostic floating over a devilish ball. N'Dicka is a few yards out as he meets it, heading over! Had to score!
63'

SAFE HANDS

Gnabry's just onside as he collects Musiala's flick. He feeds Lewandowski, who fires down the throat of Trapp from 18 yards. It's been a frustrating night for Bayern's leading man.
61'

TRAPP DOOR

What a save! Lewandowski lays the ball off on the edge of the area, before getting it back in the box. He turns Tuta and thrashes goalwards, but Trapp's out to make a brave block.

WHERE'S COMAN THE BAVARIAN?

Coman was Bayern's best player in the first half, but he's not seen much of the ball since the restart.
55'

AND AGAIN!

The ensuing corner has Frankfurt in a real pickle. Upamecano loops a header over Trapp, but this time Tuta is there to clear in front of goal.
53'

OFF THE LINE!

Musiala is brought to ground on the edge of the Frankfurt area. Kimmich clips the free kick towards the far post. Pavard heads it goalwards, where N'Dicka - pretty much on the goalline - somehow manages to head up and over his own crossbar.
47'

SPECULATIVE

Coman moves the ball inside to Kimmich. He's a good 25 yards out as he takes aim... Trapp spills it, before shovelling up the loose ball at the second attempt.
46'

HERE WE GO AGAIN

No changes on either side as the second half gets under way. Frankfurt are aiming for a third straight win over Bayern, remember...

HALF-TIME! FRANKFURT 0-0 BAYERN

Frankfurt the happier of the two. They've contained Bayern for the most part, and have caused a few wobbles in the Bayern back line along the way.

KOSTIC SEEKER

Kostic pops up in his customary left-wing postion. He whips over a cross. Knauff makes a move towards the near post, but he's not quick enough, and Ulreich gathers.

ACTION STATIONS!

Trapp's back on his feet after having his nostrils plugged to stem the flow of blood. Pavard's near-post flick is cleared by Tuta... to Gnabry, who lashes wide from the edge of the area.
39'

DOUBLE SAVE

Coman sparks Bayern to life with a fabulous turn and run. Lewandowski's goal-bound shot is charged down, with Kimmich showing great technique to volley in the loose ball. Trapp gets across well, and is all over the reboud, blocking Coman's drive at close quarters with his face. That had to hurt!
34'

LEWANDOWSKI HEADER!

So, so close as Lewandowski stoops to head Kimmich's ensuing free-kick... wide! Trapp was rooted to the spot! Don't think Lewandowski expected that ball to come through.

HANDBAGS

The referee books Lenz and Hernandez following a brief melee involving both teams. The two players will now be suspended on Matchday 25.

FLAG'S UP!

Sabitzer feeds Musiala in the Frankfurt box, but he can't get the ball out from under his feet to get a shot off. It's helped back to a red shirt, though, and a cross is clipped towards Lewandowski who, under pressure from N'Dicka, heads over before the flag goes up for an offside in the build-up.
26'

TUTA HEADER!

Tuta wins his header at the near post, the Brazilian helping on Kostic's teasing corner. It bounces in front of the far post, but there isn't a black shirt in sight. Let-off for Bayern.

Brilliant vision from Lewandowski. He splits the Frankfurt defence with a sensational pass out wide for Pavard. The Frenchman's ensuing cross sails across the six-yard box, but it's just out of reach of Gnabry at the far post.
15'

KOSTIC LETS FLY!

Kostic gets away from Hernandez and Pavard on the edge of the area, before stinging the palms of Ulreich. Frankfurt are going for this - they have a clear game plan and are confident they have the tools to hurt Bayern.
10'

MUSIALA!

Bayern back on the attack as Trapp flaps at a corner. Kimmich collects and dinks a cross into the danger zone for Musiala, who heads over from 10 yards. Another golden opening goes begging. What a start!
7'

KOSTIC!!

Frankfurt should be ahead. They're four on two as Kostic weights his pass to perfection for the run of Lindstrom. He stands up Süle and Upamecano, before sliding a ball into the channel for Kostic. Ulreich narrows the angle, and prevents the Frankfurt talisman from using his preferred left foot, though, and his effort on his weaker boot trickles wide.
6'

BLOCKED!

Musiala now for Bayern. He controls and takes aim, with N'Dicka putting his body on the line to make the block. Lewandowski, stationed on the edge of the area, lifts the follow-up over.
5'

BIG CHANCE!

Coman's left-wing cross goes unchecked into the Frankfurt box. Pavard has time and space to pick his spot, but drives wide. He's kicking himself.
3'

PACE VS. BRAWN

Frankurt aim long for Lindstrom. He's on it in a flash, but can't outmuscle Süle, who lets the ball run for Ulreich.
2'

BAYERN ON THE MOVE

Good build-up from Bayern as Sabitzer pokes a ball through to Musiala. Lewandowski slips in Hernandez on the overlap, but his cross is too close to Trapp.

MORE ON THOSE TEAMS

Dortmund loanee Ansgar Knauff is the surprise starter, with top scorer Rafael Santos Borre benched. Christopher Lenz is back in the side, while Danny Da Costa is preferred to Timothy Chandler. Ajdin Hrustic replaces the suspended Kristijan Jakic in the other change to the side that lost 1-0 to Cologne. As far Bayern, Jamal Musiala deputises for Thomas Müller. Marcel Sabitzer partners Joshua Kimmich in the absence of Corentin Tolisso in central midfield. The fit-again Kingsley Coman gets the nod over Leroy Sane, while Niklas Süle returns in defence. Lucas Hernandez reverts to left-back.

NAGELSMANN WARY

Perhaps aware of that record, Nagelsmann knows his side are in for a tough match today. "Our next five league games will be crucial, which adds to the importance of tomorrow's game in Frankfurt,” he said at his pre-match media briefing on Friday. “It's not easy to play there, especially with the atmosphere their fans create. We want to maintain our six-point lead."

FRANKFURT VS. NAGELSMANN

The Bayern boss has been a revelation in the Bundesliga since taking charge of Hoffenheim as a 28-year-old six years ago, although he has always seemed to struggle against Frankfurt. In 13 competitive matches against them as a coach (for Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig and Bayern), Nagelsmann has won just three times, drawing five and losing five.

GLASNER EYEING SUCCESS

“These sorts of games are perhaps easier for the mind because everyone knows: if you don’t deliver an absolutely top performance against Bayern, you’ll lose,” said Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner at his pre-match press conference yesterday. “The recent performances haven’t been the best and we’ve spoken about them very critically. The motto is the same as in the reverse fixture and very clear: we’re going into the match to win.”

HEAD-TO-HEAD

That result back in October means Frankfurt have now won three of the last five Bundesliga meetings with Bayern, so they're becoming a bit of a bogey team for the defending champions. Overall the Eagles have triumphed 24 times from 101 top-flight encounters, with 55 wins for Bayern and 22 draws.

WATCH: PREVIOUS MEETING: BAYERN 1-2 FRANKFURT

Frankfurt picked up their first win of the Bundesliga season on Matchday 7 with a shock 2-1 triumph in Munich. Bayern actually took the lead in that game through Goretzka, but the Eagles equalised almost instantly through Hinteregger, before Kostic grabbed the winner in the 83rd minute.

CHANCE FOR MUSIALA?

The Bayern teenager, who turns 19 today, is expected to start today in the absence of Thomas Müller. The veteran is one of several big-name players not available today: Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Leon Goretzka and Corentin Tolisso have all been ruled out through injury.

THE OUTLOOK

Bayern's lead at the summit has been cut to just six points following their 4-2 defeat to Bochum a couple of weeks ago, so they will be keen to avoid any more slip-ups that might give second-placed Borussia Dortmund hope of a title tilt. Frankfurt, meanwhile, come into this game having lost their last two Bundesliga assignments. Currently in 10th place, the Eagles have designs on qualifying for Europe again. Could they beat Bayern twice this season?
