HOFFENHEIM PUSHING!

Hoffenehim on the attack as Bruun Larsen makes Neuer work. Kramaric then sends over a cross that Hernandez does really well to clear ahead of Bebou.
83'

GLANCING HEADER

The subs combine as Sabitzer crosses for Choupo-Moting, who can't direct his header on target.
82'

PLAN B

Choupo-Moting and Sabitzer are on for Bayern. Müller could have had a hat-trick, but Musiala was fairly quiet on his 50th Bundesliga outing. The 19-year-old is the youngest Bayern player in history to reach the milestone.
73'

OFF THE LINE!

Lewandowski's cheeky dummy lets Sane's pass run for Müller. He beats Baumann from inside the area, but not Posch, who stops it on the line with his back. Hoffenheim clinging on!
71'

BAYERN PRESSURE

Hoffenheim can't get out as Hernandez sweeps an effort past the far post. Baumann then plays a careless pass straight to Musiala, who can't make his attempt count. Stiller might have got there, had it had the necessary power and accuracy.
69'

POST!

Raum concedes possession to Gnabry in his own half. The Bayern winger is away and into the box in a flash... he beats Baumann, but not the woodwork.
59'

CHANCE!

Raum gets in behind Gnabry once again. His cut-back finds Kramaric, who hits his effort straight at Neuer. Either side of the keeper, and Hoffenheim would surely be ahead.
57'

CLOSE!

Raum whips a telling ball across the face of Neuer's goal, but Bebou can't get there to turn it home. Let-off for Bayern!
56'

FINE SAVE!

Bauman's having a stormer, but this might be the best yet. Running to his right, he springs back to his left to push Sane's side-footed attempt wide of the post.
50'

SANE!

Crisp passing from Bayern as Kimmich and Müller open up the Hoffenheim defence. Sane's in behind, but on his weaker right side and directs his effort wide.
46'

DISALLOWED!

Possibly a sign of things to come as Lewandowski turns in Coman's shot from an offside position.
46'

HOFFENHEIM CHANGE

Rutter's been quiet and may have been carrying a knock. Bebou is on - his pace could cause problems for Bayern.

LEWANDOWSKI LEVELS!

There's no stopping this one. Lewandowski meets Kimmich's ensuing corner to power home a header, and send Bayern in level at the break. That's his 30th Bundesliga goal this season.

DENIED!

Sane bends a free-kick into the six-yard box. It bounces awkwardly for Lewandowski as he goes to control, and Samassekou is able to fend it behind before the Bayern striker can shoot.
42'

ANOTHER OFFSIDE GOAL!

Müller collects over the top from Kimmich and goes into the box, before firing under Baumann. The flag is up, though, that won't count.
39'

BAUMANN AGAIN!

Bayern close to levelling. Kimmich clips in a free-kick after Lewandowski had been fouled on the edge of the area. Süle's first to it, the ex-Hoffenheim defender's downward header forcing a fingertip save from Baumann. Gnabry sidefoots the rebound against the upright, before the flag goes up for an offside against Süle.
32'

HOFFENHEIM LEAD!

Is the curse of Sinsheim striking again? Vogt does really well in the transition to drive forward and find Kramaric in the final third. He could go inside and shoot, but instead slips a reverse pass into Raum in the box. The delivery evades everyone except Baumann, who slides in at the back post to turn the ball past a wrong-footed Neuer.

TEKKERS!

Promising from Hoffenheim as Pavard blocks a low Raum cross. Stiller catches everyone by surprise by looping a first-time volley towards goal from the edge of the area, with the unsighted Neuer doing well to adjust his body and make the catch.

WIDE FROM SANE X2

Baumann dives to his right, but isn't troubled by Sane's 18-yard curler. The Bayern No.10 tries his luck from range once more moments later, arrowing a few yards off target.

information
xGoals
The xGoals value of a club is calculated from the sum of all goal probabilities (goals and shots on goal) of that team. During a match, it’s easy to see whether the club is performing better than expected (goals> xGoals) - or maybe even higher (xGoals> goals).
We could easily have had a couple of goals already in Sinsheim. Don't expect this one to stay 0-0 for long...

MÜLLER!

Brilliant football from Bayern. Gnabry starts the move with a cute turn on halfway, before spraying the ball out wide for the run of Müller. Hoffenheim only half clear, with Coman eventually taking possession on the opposite flank. His cross is right on the money, but Müller's first-time strike from inside the six-yard box lacks the power to beat the diving Baumann.
13'

BAUMANN AGAIN!

Superb reactions from the Hoffenheim No.1 to paw Vogt's attempted block behind. Gnabry skinned Raum on his way to whipping over the cross. The Bayern winger looks up for this.
10'

ON THE VOLLEY!

Gnabry, who enjoyed a fruitiful loan spell at Hoffenheim back in the day, fires off Bayern's first chance. The angle's tight, but he connects well on the volley. It deflects off Raum, but Baumann is down well to make the stop.
5'

KRAMARIC!

Golden chance for Hoffenheim! Rutter helps Raum's cross into the path of Kramaric. He gets a shot off from close range, but Neuer's out to block. Süle then throws himself in front of the Croatian's follow-up.

RETURN OF THE SKIPPER

Manuel Neuer made his comeback in midweek following five games out with a knee injury. This is his first Bundesliga appearance since the 3-2 win over RB Leipzig on 5 February.

THE HOENEß FACTOR

Hoffenheim's Sebastian Hoeneß knows Bayern very well, and not just because he ended the record champions' record 23-match winning run at the start of last season. The 39-year-old oversaw the Bayern youth and U19 teams, before taking over the newly promoted reserves in time for 2019/20, steering the club from 15th at Christmas to 3. Liga champions on the final day, thanks to an eye-catching haul of 43 points from a possible 57 during the second half of the campaign. It's there where he also took Chris Richards, injured today, and Angelo Stiller under his wing.

LEWANGOALSKI

Lewandowski hit a 23-minute hat-trick in midweek. That's the quickest ever three-goal haul from the start of a Champions League game. It moved him onto 85 tournament goals - no player has reached such a tally in so few matches (104). His record against Hoffenheim isn't too shabby, either. The Bayern No.9 has scored 14 goals against Nagelsmann's old flame, doing so once in six of his last seven.

ADVANTAGE HOFFENHEIM?

While the overall head-to-head record is clearly in Bayern’s favour with 18 wins and five draws from the 27 Bundesliga meetings to date, Hoffenheim do have a tendency to rise to the occasion on home turf against the Reds. So much so that they have won three of their last five assignments against Bayern at the PreZero Arena (4-1, 2-0 and 1-0). It should be noted, however, that Nagelsmann was in the Hoffenheim dugout for the latter two.

THE NAGELSMANN YEARS

Nagelsmann was just 28 when he took charge of Hoffenheim in February 2016, becoming the youngest permanent head coach in Bundesliga history. Over the course of 116 games up to the conclusion of his tenure at the end of the 2018/19 season, Die Kraichgauer earned a total of 191 points. To put that into context, only Bayern (279), and Borussia Dortmund (228) won more over the same period. He also steered the Sinsheim club into the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time.

WATCH: COLOGNE 0-1 HOFFENHEIM

Hoffenheim extended their winning run in the Bundesliga to four consecutive games to go fourth in the table thanks to Stefan Posch’s header in a narrow 1-0 win away to Cologne.

NAGELSMANN WARY

“They’ve won their last four games and have very good statistics,” said the Bayern boss at his media briefing in the build-up to today’s game. “When we played them in the first half of the season, they tried to get behind our defence a lot, so that’s something we’ll need to be prepared for.”

HOENEß CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC

“Bayern are in good form, but in our analysis of them we saw that they do leave gaps in defence,” said Hoeneß at his pre-match press conference. “Still, you need to have a great day to get anything from them. We always hope to win, even against Bayern. We’re on a four-game winning run and have a lot of self-confidence. We’re really looking forward to the game.”

MORE ON THOSE TEAMS

Sebastian Hoeneß makes two changes to the side that beat Cologne last time out. Keven Vogt deputises for injured defender Kevin Akpoguma, while Georgino Rutter is recalled in attack alongside Andrej Kramaric. As for Bayern, it's the free-scoring XI that thrashed Salzburg 7-1 in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
