Half chance!
Buta sends over a cross from the right. Tired legs scramble to clear, before Flekken gets down at the feet of Lenz. Götze was also lying in wait.

Can the Colombian score from the bench as he did against Schalke on Saturday?

Great cover!
Rode sneaks a pass into the box for the run of Götze. He opens up his body to shoot, only for Doan to put in a crucial recovery challenge.
The equaliser was Ginter's third Bundesliga goal of the campaign. Five is his season-best return to beat (2017/18).

Fresh legs
An extra man at the back in Buta, while Rode is on in a like-for-like switch in midfield.

Close!
Lenz sticks out a boot to block a Günter cross, but inadvertently turns it goalwards. Luckily for him, Ramaj is there to prevent the own goal.

What a chance!
Freiburg could, and perhaps should, be ahead. Gregoritsch is unmarked as he meets a Höler cross into the box, but the Austrian shoots the wrong side of the upright.

Ticking off
N'Dicka scythes down Doan, unnecessarily so at that. He was worried about being caught out on the break.

Yellow peril
Muani's too strong, quick and clever for Höfler, who joins fellow central midfielders Eggestein and Kamada in the book. That's his fifth yellow of the campaign, too, so he'll miss the Augsburg game on Saturday.

Freiburg are level!
What a start to the second half from a Freiburg perspective! Günter gets a second bite of the cherry after his first attempt at an in-swinging cross from a corner is cleared. He floats the ball into the six-yard box, where Ginter arrives from deep to head beyond Ramaj.

A moment of Kolo Muani magic is the difference at the break. Harsh on Freiburg, but them's the breaks.

A deflection takes the sting of out a Höfler volley as Ramaj gets two safe hands on the ball. He's been solid in the Frankfurt goal.

Frankfurt lead!
Moments after testing Flekken for the first time with a speculative shot from range, Kolo Muani puts Frankfurt in front. The France international controls a bouncing ball on the edge of the box, digs it out from under his feet and lashes low to Flekken's left. That's his sixth goal of the campaign - he also has a league-leading 10 assists. Stunning.

Milestone
This is Streich's 340th outing as a Bundesliga coach, putting him level in the Freiburg annals with Volker Finke. The 57-year-old, in charge since December 2011 and the Bundesliga's longest-serving active coach, will claim the club record outright against Augsburg at the weekend.

Double save!
Ramaj rides to Frankfurt's rescue with a sprawling save at the feet of Höler. The ball's still loose as Günter takes aim, but again Ramaj is there. Best chance of the game!

Over!
Almost an assist for Gregoritsch, who sends an inviting ball into the six-yard box. Doan's in behind N'Dicka, but can only get his shin to it on the stretch and the ball balloons over the crossbar.

SECOND BEST
Frankfurt have been flying on the road this season, but they can't get a foothold in the game in Freiburg. The hosts are dictacting the play, and starving Kolo Muani of any space to run into in the final third.

Omens
Freiburg have lost to all but one of the top-seven clubs they have faced so far in 2022/23, beating Union Berlin on Matchday 15, while Frankfurt are this season's second best away team (behind Bayern), with 14 points from a possible 21.

Who is Diant Ramaj?
The Frankfurt goalkeeper makes his second Bundesliga appearance today - his first coming in a 1-1 draw with Augsburg last January. The 21-year-old is a Germany youth international, who's kept two clean sheets in three fourth-tier games this term.
More on those teams
Streich brings in Kübler, Lienhart and Höler, but Grifo's only fit enough for a place on the bench. Frankfurt are missing Trapp and Dina Ebimbe. Ramaj and Lenz are their replacements, while Tuta returns in defence for Jakic.

Watch: Highlights of Freiburg's 2-1 triumph over Frankfurt in April
Head-to-head
Over the last 10 meetings between the two sides, Frankfurt have the edge, winning four to Freiburg's two (D4). 'Die Adler' were also victorious on their previous trip to the Schwarzwald, and have lost just one of their last five away games versus Christian Streich's men.
Welcome!
After a fantastic 2022, Freiburg started 2023 in dismal fashion as they suffered a 6-0 defeat at the hands of Wolfsburg. However, they still sit fifth in the Bundesliga and will move within three points of league-leaders Bayern with a victory against Eintracht Frankfurt. That, though, will be easier said than done versus a side that has tasted defeat just once in their last six outings and will also move into second with a win. It promises to be a captivating match-up at the Europa-Park-Stadion, and you can keep up with all the action right here!
