LEIPZIG SHOUT

MOMENT'S SILENCE
The players gather in the centre circle and, along with the fans, stand for a minute's silence in memory of the victims of the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
COACHES EMBRACE
Marco Rose and Urs Fischer hug and then share a few friendly words. What a job these two have been doing for their respective sides this season! Which coach will prevail tonight?
TEAMS OUT !
A superb atmosphere at the Red Bull Arena and we're nearly all set for the off. The players are making their way onto the pitch ...
TIGHT AT THE TOP
Things are really heating up at the top of the table. With leaders Bayern Munich and (the now) second-placed Borussia Dortmund as well as Freiburg in fourth all winning earlier, Leipzig and Union will be keen to follow suit. The hosts are in currently fifth but could go third with a victory this evening. An Union triumph would take them back up to second and within a point of Bayern.
UNION'S NEW FACES
Keep an eye out for Union's winter signing from Ferencvaros Aissa Laidouni, with the Algeria international in the Union starting lineup for the first time here. Josip Juranovic, meanwhile, makes just his second Bundesliga appearance for the visitors.
UNION TEAM NEWS
Union coach Urs Fischer shows three changes in his starting eleven today with Niko Gießelmann, Josip Juranovic and Aissa Laidouni in from the get-go in Saxony. Jerome Roussillon, Paul Seguin and Christopher Trimmel make way, with al three on the subs' bench.

Leipzig flying
RB have won more points (31) in the Bundesliga since Rose took over ahead of Matchday 6 than any other team in the same period.
Tide turned
Union lost all three of their first Bundesliga assignments against Leipzig, but won each of the next four. They have never managed five consecutive wins against one team in their Bundesliga history.
Hosts on a roll
Leipzig are currently enjoying an 18-game unbeaten streak in all competitions (14 wins, four draws), equalling their best-ever such sequence as a top-flight team, set between January and May 2019 under Ralf Rangnick.
