INCREDIBLE!
Can loses possesion in the Bremen half. Werder break as Burke skips in between Süle and Wolf, and thunders a finish past Kobel at his near post.

EQUALISER!
Werder have done it! Pieper hangs up a cross for Schmidt, who powers a header past Kobel!

YOU BEAUTY!
Game on in Dortmund. Kobel saves from Schmidt, Dortmund don't clear and Buchanan steers in off the underside of the bar with the outside of his left foot. Lovely goal - can Werder rescue a point?

POST!
Hazard from range this time. It's too hot to handle for Pavelnka, who pushes it onto his right-hand post.
78'
DAYLIGHT!
Bremen half clear Hazard's corner. Guerreiro controls, roughly 25 yards out, and fizzes an effort past the unsighted Pavlenka.

BITTENCOURT DOWN
Leo Bittencourt appears to turn an ankle. He stays down, offering the players the chance to take on some fluids.

TRIPLE CHANGE
Dortmund need a spark. Can Hazard or Reyna - back for the first time since 8 April - provide it? Süle's also on for his first Bundesliga appearance in a BVB shirt.

SAVE!
Bremen come again as Ducksch volleys goalwards, but it's too close to Kobel, who beats clear.
58'
DENIED!
Heroic stuff from Schlotterbeck. He slides in front of Kobel to block Jung's first-time strike. Werder are feeling this...
54'
PINBALL!
Bittencourt slips a pass into the feet of Ducksch. He lays it off for Füllkrug on the penalty spot, but Schotterbeck gets a toe on it and Guerreiro completes the clearance. The whistle then sounds for an earlier handball.

DANGER SIGNS
Brandt is played through by Bynoe-Gittens, but is flagged for offside as he swipes an effort wide.

AND WE'RE OFF AGAIN!
Can Bremen respond to the setback of that sucker-punch of a Dortmund goal?

DORTMUND LEAD!
And right on the stroke of half-time! Reus rolls the ball out to Brandt, who skates inside before firing low and hard into the bottom corner from 18 yards. So tough on Werder...

SUPERB SAVE!
Ducksch takes the set-piece, whipping it through the wall towards the top corner, but Kobel dives full stretch to swat clear.

YELLOW PERIL
Now Can is booked, the Dortmund sub clipping the heels of Ducksch on the edge of the BVB area.

CAUTION
Much better from Dortmund as Brandt and Bellingham combine to free Reus. He's well covered by a Bremen defender, but the ball breaks free in the box. Modeste doesn't have the pace, though, and Pavlenka's first to it, the Werder stopper taking a shinbone to the face for his troubles. No intent from Modeste, who is harshly booked.

WORTH A SHOT!
Bremen come again, shifting the ball in off the left. Fülkrug has a crack from the edge of the D, but can't hit the target. Good spell for the visitors...

HALF CHANCE!
Former Dortmund striker Ducksch connects first time with a low cross into the box, but doesn't trouble Kobel.

CHANCE NOT TAKEN
Reus leads a Dortmund counter, the BVB skipper carrying the ball over halfway from deep inside his own half. He lays it off to Brandt as teammates race into the Bremen box, but the cross sails out of play.

CLOSE!
A Friedl free-kick comes in from the left. Can loses Stage, who sends a close-range header just over. Big chance for Werder, that!

DAHOUD INJURED
Mo Dahoud contests a 50-50 ball with Bittencourt. In doing so, he pops his right shoulder - a recurring problem for the BVB man. Emre Can is his replacement.
11'
DORTMUND KNOCKING
Dortmund turn the screw as Reus drives into the Bremen box. He goes to ground as Pieper makes a timely invervention in the six-yard area - but the referee is unmoved. It breaks free for Bellingham, whose dangerous cross is fended to safety.

REUS ON A ROLL
Reus controls a long ball into the Bremen box, but his ensuing cross is behind Modeste. The flag was up against the BVB captain, in any case. Reus has 14 goals and eight assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances against Werder, making them his favourite opponent.

WARNING SHOT
Dortmund have started brightly. They work the ball in off the left to Dahoud, who arrows wide from 10 yards.

THREAD WATCH
Dortmund are in black-and-yellow stripes, with black shorts and yellow socks. Bremen's away get-up is a shade of salmon, with green shorts and socks that combine the two colours.

TOP SPOT UP FOR GRABS
Dortmund will go top, overnight at least, with a win. Gladbach are the current leaders, while Bayern travel to Bochum tomorrow.
BREMEN BACK TO THE BEGINNING
Bremen's starting XI looks familiar – it is a repeat of their Matchday 1 starting XI, with Groß back in for Gruev.
YOUNG BVB
Five players in the Dortmund squad are under the age of 20, with Bellingham and Bynoe-Gittens starting and Moukoko, Reyna and Rothe on the bench.

FORM FAVOURS BVB
With today's classic encounter now upon us, it's worth noting that Borussia have won 12 of the last 14 Bundesliga home games against Werder, but lest we forget, the visitors are currently enjoying a solid away run. Ole Werner's outfit are undefeated on the road since 12 March and boasted the second-best away record in Germany's second tier last term. When you crunch the numbers, it's all set up for a fascinating fixture.
BELLINGHAM PRAISE
"He’s been one of our most consistent players over the last couple of years," Terzic said of Jude Bellingham, who is rapidly approaching a century of games in Black-and-Yellow. "He has developed really well both physically and in terms of his character," the tactician added. Terzic has been so impressed, he made Bellingham the club's third captain in the summer.

BREMEN'S UNBEATEN RUN
Bremen are also unbeaten 180 minutes into their return to the top flight following draws with Wolfsburg and Stuttgart. They have scored twice in both games, meaning coach Ole Werner will be seeking a means to stem to the tide at the back while maintaining the clinical streak in front of goal that fired them to promotion last term.
JUDE A CERTAIN STARTER
Jude Bellingham will once more be the midfield hub for the hosts, who are unbeaten in their last seven Bundesliga encounters with Bremen (W4, D3). Fit-again defender Niklas Süle could also "get some minutes" from the bench, while Karim Adeyemi is also an option again.
FAITH IN YOUTH
Teenage supersubs Youssoufa Moukoko and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who signed a new long-term deal this week, came off the bench to inspire their late come-from-behind win in the Black Forest last time out and the pair could well be given more time on the pitch to impress this week, but new arrival Anthony Modeste should lead the line again as he looks to open his account for BVB since moving from Cologne
DORTMUND RISING
Edin Terzic's outfit have picked up maximum points from testing encounters with Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg, and now welcome newly promoted Bremen to the Signal Iduna Park with only goal difference separating them from Bayern Munich.
