MOUKOKO THE DERBY HERO!
At just 17, Youssoufa Moukoko already knows what it feels like to be a match winner in the Revierderby - this is no doubt a game that the teenage sensation will remember for many years to come. Dortmund made heavy weather of it, needing almost 80 minutes to find a way past the impressive Alexander Schwolow, but they got the job done in the first sold-out Revierderby at the Signal Iduna Park in over three years. As an added bonus, they go top of the table on 15 points.

BELLINGHAM STILL FIGHTING
The 19-year-old looks absolutely shattered but still makes the effort to keep the ball in play then win a final free-kick. It's all over!

MOUKOKO MISJUDGES IT
Hazard whips in a fine corner delivery in front of the Yellow Wall, but Moukoko doesn't anticipate it properly and the ball skims off his shoulder on its way out for a goal kick.

CAN ALSO BOOKED
Zalazar probably wishes he'd stayed on the bench. Now he's brought down heavily by Can, who is booked with basically his first contribution of the game. It's getting feisty in the closing stages!
83'
ADEYEMI BOOKED
Karim Adeyemi goes into the book for a rather spectacular challenge on Zalazar, who just came on for Schalke. Emre Can and Thorgan Hazard are also on now, for Brandt and Reyna.
82'
REYNA NEARLY MAKES IT TWO!
BVB have their tails up and break on the counter at speed. Adeyemi slips it Reyna who turns inside very nicely, but fails to find the far corner with his curling right-footed attempt. Inches wide.
79'
DORTMUND LEAD
They've been waiting for it all afternoon and finally the hosts have their goal. Reyna begins the move, clipping a ball out wide to Wolf, who curls in a beauty of a cross for Moukoko. The 17-year-old manages to drift between Yoshida and Mohr to head past Schwolow from point-blank range.
79'
MOUKOKO HAS DONE IT!
The deadlock is finally broken!! The Dortmund fans go wild!
75'
BELLINGHAM OVER THE TOP
Another opportunity goes begging for BVB, with Bellingham blasting over as the rain begins to fall at the Signal Iduna Park. Schalke are currently raining on Dortmund's parade, and damaging their chances of going top overnight.
72'
BRANDT!
A low drive from the Germany international is blocked by Van den Berg as Schalke deal with another period of sustained Dortmund pressure.
68'
GREAT WORK FROM ADEYEMI
The other Dortmund sub battles for possession on the right flank before getting to the byline, but Moukoko can't do anything with the cut-back. Reyna was just behind Moukoko and was screaming for him to leave it. No doubt a bit of frustration creeping in as we enter the last 20 minutes or so.
67'
MOUKOKO!
A first chance for the substitute, who stays onside to latch onto a ball over the top from Meunier, but finds Schwolow blocking his path. The Schalke keeper is having a stormer!
64'
MOUKOKO AND ADEYEMI ON
And now Terzic rings the (attacking) changes, with Moukoko and Adeyemi replacing Modeste and Malen.
63'
A RARE CHANCE
The visitors break on the counter but Karaman sees his effort blocked by Schlotterbeck after a cross from Bülter. That has improved their xG to 0.08 though!
60'
REYNA!
Brandt does brilliantly to keep the ball near the byline and send in a cross for Reyna, but the American's header is deflected over by Mohr. How long can Schalke hold on to this clean sheet?

CHANGES FOR SCHALKE
Karaman and Polter enter the fray. Polter scored home and away against Dortmund for Bochum last season.
55'
ANOTHER 0-0?
There have already been 11 goalless draws between Dortmund and Schalke in Revierderby history, more than in any other top-flight clash. Could we get a 12th today? BVB haven't drawn 0-0 in 99 Bundesliga outings, stretching back to a goalless draw with Schalke in late 2019.

BELLINGHAM TRYING TO MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN
The Dortmund No.22 is really getting involved at the moment. He tries to find space for a shot in the box but can't quite get the better of Flick and it's out for a goal kick.
51'
BELLINGHAM AND REYNA
The two teenagers combine nicely down the Dortmund right, but the American's cross is cut out by Yoshida and the Englishman sees his follow-up blocked.
47'
MALEN AGAIN!
Into the second half we go and Dortmund are straight back on the attack. Malen slices through the Schalke defence again, but his shot is blocked by Schwolow. The visiting keeper is having a very solid game.

BVB ON TOP, SCHALKE RESISTING
The shape of the game has been more or less what you might have expected, with Dortmund dominating against an inexperienced Schalke side. However, the hosts failed to make the most of their opportunities and unfortunately lost captain Reus to a suspected ankle injury midway through the half. Their best chance fell to Bellingham, after a cross from the impressive Malen, but the England midfielder saw his close-range header brilliantly palmed away by Schwolow.

HALF-TIME!
... but Mohr overcooks the delivery and referee Felix Brych blows for half-time.

MODESTE JUST WIDE!
A corner comes in for the hosts and Anthony Modeste - who's been pretty quiet so far - glances a header just wide of the post. We're into three minutes of added time at the end of this first half.
45'
WOLF!
The Dortmund wing-back swivels inside the area and fires off a low left-footed shot that Schwolow does well to parry.
43'
SCHALKE STAYING COMPACT
When they're set up defensively, the visitors are adopting a 4-5-1 formation that looks similar to the one used by Dortmund against Man City in midweek. So far it's working!

DORTMUND KEEP COMING
The men in yellow have been camped on the edge of the Schalke area for the past few minutes. They're prodding and probing but haven't found a weakness just yet. Most of their attacks are coming down the left with Malen and Wolf.
33'
WHAT A SAVE!
Incredible reflexes from Schwolow to keep out a header from Bellingham! That looked to be 1-0 for sure!
31'
MORE MAJOR TOURNAMENT HOODOO FOR REUS?
The Germany star has already missed several major tournaments with Germany due to injury - not least the World Cup they won in 2014. Let's hope he can make a speedy recovery before this winter's tournament gets underway in Qatar in November.
29'
GAME OVER FOR REUS?
Marco Reus has his hands over his face as he receives treatment on the pitch, and it looks like he is going to be replaced by Gio Reyna. What a shame for the BVB captain! Here comes the stretcher...
27'
BVB LOSING MOMENTUM
The home side haven't been dominating as much in the last five or ten minutes. And their captain Reus is now down clutching his ankle after a collision with Flick, hopefully this isn't bad news...

VAN DEN BERG BOOKED
The Dutchman is the first to get a yellow card for bringing down the turbo-charged Malen. He could be in for a long afternoon.
19'
CLOSE!
Larsson scampers through on the counter-attack before getting taken out by Meyer, but luckily for the home keeper the Schalke man was offside. That could have been a game-changing moment.
15'
A FIRST FORAY INTO BVB TERRITORY
Schalke finally get past the halfway line as Larsson sweeps forward on the counter, but the move breaks down before they can reach the BVB penalty area. The Royal Blues need to weather the early storm here and get some kind of foothold in the game.
12'
MALEN MAGIC
The flying Dutchman is doing all sorts of damage down the Dortmund left, but after his latest dribble his compatriot Sepp van den Berg - on loan from Liverpool - manages to block the cross. The resulting corner comes to nothing. Schalke still holding on for now!
10'
SCHALKE NERVES?
Remember, none of the 11 Schalke players on the pitch have played in a Revierderby before, and certainly not in the bubbling cauldron of noise that is the Signal Iduna Park. They're clearly second best at the moment, Dortmund are winning everything in midfield.
8'
MALEN!
The returning Donyell Malen rifles one into the side netting, but the flag is up for offside against Brandt. It's all Dortmund at the moment, a strong start from the hosts.
2'
FIRST SHOT FROM WOLF
And it's deflected out for a corner, which Schalke hook away. Dortmund are already applying pressure, and so are their fans! The noise inside the stadium is incredible.
1'
OFF WE GO!
A roar goes up from more than 80,000 fans packed into the Signal Iduna Park as the Revierderby gets underway. Both teams are in their traditional colours: black and yellow for Dortmund, royal blue for Schalke.

The 99th Bundesliga Revierderby is imminent!
WOLF HITS 50
Marco Reus (250 Bundesliga games for Dortmund) and Jude Bellingham (100 games for the club in all competitions) aren't the only men celebrating a milestone outing today. Midfielder Marius Wolf will be playing his 50th Bundesliga match for BVB.
GUERREIRO INJURED?
According to reports at the Signal Iduna Park, Raphael Guerreiro is out today with a muscle injury, although the club have yet to confirm. The Portuguese international was also missing against Hoffenheim earlier this month due to illness.
SCHALKE UNCHANGED
Schalke coach Frank Kramer, on the other hand, keeps faith with the 11 players who started in last Saturday's 3-1 win over Bochum.
FOUR CHANGES FOR DORTMUND
BVB boss Edin Terzic makes four changes from the Manchester City defeat, with Brandt, Malen, Schlotterbeck and Wolf coming into the line-up. Can, Reyna and Süle all drop to the bench, while Guerreiro has not been named in the squad. More info on his absence as and when we get it.

A DAY OF MILESTONES
Dortmund captain Marco Reus is set to make his 250th Bundesliga appearance for the club today, while Jude Bellingham, at the age of just 19, will play his 100th game for BVB in all competitions. Can the midfield duo celebrate their milestones with a win? Remember, Dortmund are currently fifth in the table (12 points), while promoted Schalke are 13th (six points).
HUMMELS HOPING TO MATCH ZORC
Mats Hummels has won nine of his previous 19 Bundesliga meetings with Schalke, putting him one shy of the all-time record holder Michael Zorc. Today, the BVB defender will be looking to equal the club's former sporting director, who won 10 of his 23 Revierderby clashes against the Royal Blues.
100 GAMES WITHOUT A 0-0 DRAW?
Dortmund are on a run of 99 Bundesliga games without a goalless draw. In fact, the last time it happened was in the Revierderby, when they travelled to Schalke on 26 October 2019. History suggests it could happen again today; there have been more 0-0 scorelines between Dortmund and Schalke (11) than any other top-flight pairing. Then again, BVB have won the last three meetings 4-0, 3-0 and 4-0, and you can guarantee they'll be out for Royal Blue blood after defeats to Leipzig and Manchester City.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING - DORTMUND
"We're fiercely excited about the derby," said BVB boss Edin Terzic. "We know how important it is for our fans and the region, we're aware of the responsibility on our shoulders. The derby is the most important game and we know we have to win it. We also want to win it, to keep ourselves up towards the top of the table. We showed a lot of positive stuff in the game against Manchester City. If we can put the same energy into our performance against Schalke, we should be able to play some very nice football."
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING - SCHALKE
"It's vital that we are focused on the game, and turn our emotions into energy," said Schalke head coach Frank Kramer. "We will need everything we've got: passion, resilience, and determination. And we're going to need every single of us to do it."

WATCH: RETURN OF THE REVIERDERBY!
THE SEASON SO FAR
Dortmund are fifth in the table after six matches, only two points behind Bundesliga leaders Union Berlin. They lost 3-0 in Leipzig last time out - their second defeat alongside four league wins this term - and face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League three days before the visit of Schalke. For their part, the 12th-placed Royal Blues are fresh off their first top-flight win since being promoted as Bundesliga 2 champions - a 3-1 triumph over Ruhr district rivals Bochum. They've drawn three and lost their other two.
