Wind strikes again
It's two for Wolfsburg, who are playing with some real verve on the opening day against the Bundesliga new boys. After a swift passing move, Svanberg picks up Wind at the near post, who slots past Müller for his second strike of the first-half.

Three in a row
Wolfsburg face a newly promoted side on home soil for the third consecutive season. Last year they drew 2-2 with Werder Bremen, having beaten Bochum 1-0 in their opener in 2021/22.
Best of the Beste
Borussia Dortmund academy graduate Jan-Niklas Beste is one of the key men to keep an eye on for Heidenheim. The 24 year-old registered 12 goals and 21 assists in Bundesliga 2 last term.
57th member
Heidenheim are the first club to make their Bundesliga debut since Union Berlin did so in 2019, and in so doing become the 57th different side to play in Germany's top flight.
