Full-time: Union Berlin 0-3 Eintracht Frankfurt

Frankfurt pick up all three points at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei! The game was effectively sewn up within the opening 15 minutes thanks to a brace from Omar Marmoush, before Nacho Ferri completed the scoring late in the second half. Union have now lost each of their last 12 matches in all competitions, and there can now be no doubt that they are in a relegation battle.

Laïdouni drives over

Decent effort from Laïdouni, but his effort is always rising. That is probably his side's last chance of this match.

Frankfurt two to the good!

Marmoush scores his second brace in as many games for the Eagles to put his side well in command before the quarter-hour mark. The forward is in loads of space in six-yard box and therefore has an easy task to tap home Larsson's cross.

Frankfurt already in front!

When it rains, it pours, or at least for Union right now! Marmoush is the goalscorer, firing low into the bottom corner to give his side the early advantage.

Fischer's view on Frankfurt

"We've drawn up a plan for how we want to approach the game and have to push ourselves to the limit for 90 minutes, because Frankfurt are very stable at the moment. They had a few problems at the start of the season, but they've now found their feet. You can clearly see the coach's touch. They are very variable in their positional play, they have enormous speed on the wings and they are also dangerous from set pieces. In addition, their strikers are agile, lively and cheeky, and always get in behind the defence."

Toppmöller's view on Union

"Football at the Alte Försterei is first of all about work - and I don't mean that in a disrespectful way, because Union stand for an intense style of play with lots of running, good attacking patterns, second balls and good set pieces. So for us, it's not about wanting to win a beauty prize. That's now what this game will be about. We have to do working football before we speak about shining football."

Cup exit

Union were knocked out of the DFB Cup in the second round on Tuesday following a 1-0 defeat in Stuttgart. That result was the team's 11th consecutive loss in all competitions: seven in the Bundesliga, three in the Champions League and one in the cup.

Home advantage

The last five Bundesliga meetings between these two have all been won by the respective home side: three victories for Frankfurt, two for Union.

Brothers reunited

This will be the first time that USA internationals Brenden Aaronson (Union) and his younger sibling (Paxten) will be on opposing teams as professionals. Frankfurt defender Robin Koch, currently a team-mate of Paxten's, played in the same Leeds United side as Brenden last season.

Red-hot Frankfurt

Eintracht have won seven points from their last three games thanks to wins over Hoffenheim (3-1) and Heidenheim (2-0), as well as last weekend's 3-3 draw with Borussia Dortmund. That's as many points as they collected over the first six matchdays of the season.
