Choupo-Moting nets Bayern's fourth

What happens next?
It's anyone's guess as to what happens in the remaining 15 minutes or so. Kleindienst tries to pull the ball into the box, but it had already crossed the byline, and Kane shoots over at the other end.

Guerreiro puts Bayern back in front!
What a game! Heidenheim are level for just two minutes. Laimer pulls across to Choupo-Moting, whose shot was saved and the ball falls out to Guerreiro, who rifles it in from just inside the box for his first goal for the champions.

Beste brings Heidenheim level!
How about that!? Heidenheim smash two goals in three minutes to roar back level. The ball is gifted by Kim to Beste on the edge of the box, and he gladly takes a step inside it before smashing past Neuer.

Heidenheim still hope
The amount of time the visitors have spent with the ball in the Bayern half since the restart has been noticeable. They haven't fashioned any chances as yet, but they are certainly giving it their best shot.

No penalty for Bayern
VAR had a look after Gimber handles the ball in the box, but Harry Kane will have to keep looking for chances for that hat-trick.

Almost a second from Sané
Bayern's deadly attacking duo link up again as Kane threads a ball behind the defence for Sané to chase onto. He takes it towards the target and sends his shot just wide of Müller in the Heidenheim goal.
29'
Not too easy for Bayern
Bayern are passing the ball around at ease, yet the packed Heidenheim defensive ranks are not proving easy to move through. The champions won't mind that too much with the early lead behind them, but as long as there is just a goal in it, one moment at the other end could transform the equation.

More on that Bayern team
Thomas Tuchel rings five changes to the side that started the 2-1 win over Galatasaray in midweek. Bouna Sarr is making his first start since April 2021 at right-back, while Gnabry starts for the first time since September following injury and with Goretzka out with a muscle injury, Aleksander Pavlovic makes his very first start for Bayern in midfield. Guerreiro also makes the squad for the first time since the start of October.
More on that Heidenheim team
Frank Schmidt makes one change to the side that beat Stuttgart last Sunday. Föhrenbach replaces Beck as the Heidenheim coach switches to a more compact 4-3-2-1 or 4-1-4-1 formation.

Kane on fire
Harry Kane set a new record of 15 goals in the first 10 Bundesliga games of his career with his treble against Dortmund. The England captain also equalled Gerd Müller's same return in 1968/69, which means the pair now share the record for the best ever start to a season.
Going for a full set
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has scored against 17 of the 18 current teams in the German top-flight. A goal against Heidenheim would complete the set.
A Bundesliga first
While Bayern have played the most Bundesliga matches in history (1,986), Heidenheim are the league's least-experienced with just 10 outings from their maiden campaign so far. This will be the very first time they play each other in the league.

The lay of the land
Bayern are buoyant after despatching Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in the Klassiker, but the record champions remain two points off league leaders Bayer Leverkusen. As for Heidenheim, they are four points clear of the drop zone after stunning VfB Stuttgart on Matchday 10.
