Full-time: Werder 2-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

A frantic Bundesliga encounter ended all square after Eintracht Frankfurt mounted an admirable comeback from two goals down at the Weserstadion. Fresh from a call-up with Germany, Marvin Ducksch gave the Green-Whites the lead from the penalty spot before the break while Rafael Borré doubled Werder's lead with a header against his parent club. Frankfurt were back in it when Ellyes Skhiri's opportunistic strike flew in and the comeback was complete after Hrvoje Smolčić nodded home from close range.

Rafael Borré has scored against his parent club and places his hands together towards the Eintracht fans. Werner's view of Frankfurt

“We watch every game our opponents play, so obviously we watched them on Thursday. They’re a team with a lot of talent and pace, they’re very well organised in defence. They’ve shown that increasingly well on the pitch in the last few weeks, and their results have reflected that. We’re gearing up for a game against a top side, who are definitely the favourites. But we have confidence that we can beat them with a good performance.”
camera-photo

Toppmöller on Bremen

“They’re a team with a flair for the spectacular. They play an extremely high-risk game going forward and have good patterns of play in their 3-5-2 system with two great strikers, hard-working midfielders and uncompromising defenders.”
