Full time: Bremen 1-1 Leipzig
Leipzig will be kicking themselves after letting the lead slip, despite having chances to kill the game off. Still, the hosts were good value for the point and created a number of presentable openings before Njinmah’s fine equaliser earned them a share of the spoils here.

Haidara from range!
Patient build-up from Leipzig as they try to find space for a late winner. Eventually Henrichs finds Haidara on the edge of the box and he gets a shot away, but it's straight at Zetterer, who makes a good save.

First for Bremen?
Werder haven't managed to pick up any points against any of the teams currently in the top seven this season. Is that about to end?

Momentum on Bremen's side
That goal has given both the Bremen players and the crowd a lift, and the noise inside the wohninvest WESERSTADION has increased dramatically as the supporters urge their players to go for a winner.

Brilliant equaliser!
There doesn't appear to be much danger when Njinmah receives the ball 25 yards from goal in a central position. He cuts onto his left foot and curls a superb shot just inside the post. There's no way Blaswich was stopping that!
72'
Free-kick from Ducksch
Bremen win a free-kick in a promising position, about 30 yards out. It's prime territory for Ducksch to have a pop at goal and he duly does, but his curling effort lacks the power to seriously trouble Blaswich, and ends up going over anyway.
67'
Chance for Openda!
The Frenchman must surely make it 2-0! A loose pass in midfield comes to Xavi, who immediately feeds it forward to Openda. He only has Zetterer to beat but seems to get caught in two minds about what to do, and the goalkeeper makes the save.

Ducksch off the bar!
The forward receives the ball inside the box, on the left, before turning and curling a shot at goal that clips the top of the bar on its way over!

Brilliant from Borré
The Colombian twists and turns on the left before getting off an angled drive that Blaswich does well to block at his near post.

Side netting from Raum
Bremen try to counter following a Leipzig corner but they lose possession quickly and suddenly Raum is in space on the right. He cuts inside onto his preferred left boot but his shot is deflected into the side netting.

Openda with the breakthrough!
The forward outmuscles Groß to collect a ball over the Bremen defence. His first shot is saved by Zetterer, as his his follow-up, but he makes no mistake at the third time of asking, prodding in from close range.

Under way again
Bremen get the match restarted. Just one change during the interval as Simakan replaces Castello at the back for Leipzig.

Half-time: Bremen 0-0 Leipzig
It’s scoreless so far, and that’s probably a fair reflection of the game. Leipzig started the better of the two teams and hit the post inside the first minute, but the hosts recovered well and had a great spell of pressure around the half-hour mark, creating a couple of clear-cut chances. Poulsen’s disallowed effort is the closest we’ve come to a goal as yet, but that looks certain to change after the break.

Poulsen goal disallowed
The visitors thought they had taken the lead when Poulsen headed in on the rebound after Haidara's deflected shot came back off the post, but it won't count due to Poulsen being offside.

Over from Openda!
The Leipzig forward uses his body well to win the ball about 30 yards outside the Bremen box. He strides forward and shoots from distance but his effort arrows just over the bar.
35'
Stage fright!
Bremen are on top now and are pushing hard for the first goal of the game - and they should have it! Bittencourt crosses from the right and there are three players unmarked at the back post. Stage is the best positioned of them all and volleys at goal from six yards out. He only has Blaswich to beat, but his effort sails high over the bar. What a chance that was!
34'
Henrichs to the rescue!
A vital, sliding interception from Henrichs prevents the ball from reaching Ducksch, who would surely have scored the opener from 10 yards, after Njinmah broke in behind the Leipzig defence down the right and crossed into the middle.
32'
Chance for Bremen!
Castello clears the ball off the line from a Ducksch header following a swift break forward!
31'
Leipzig in behind!
Forsberg blocks an attempted clearance and it falls kindly for Openda, wide on the right. He crosses low into the middle for Poulsen, who's back-heeled flick is well saved by Zetterer!

Xavi again!
Some neat interplay from Leipzig around the edge of the Bremen box leads to Xavi having a shot. It's straight at Zetterer, who spills it but manages to recover in time to claim the ball ahead of Poulsen, who was ready to pounce on the rebound.
21'
Chance for Xavi!
The midfielder robs Jung of the ball inside the Bremen box, controls the ball brilliantly with a couple of heel flicks and has a shot from an angle, but it rolls wide of the far post.

Promising foray
Agu's run down the Bremen left behind Henrichs is a good one and a long ball over the top picks him out, but he can't quite control it on his chest and the ball goes out of play.

That early scare seems to have put Bremen on edge somewhat and they're struggling to keep the ball or make it outside their own half right now.

Leipzig hit the post!
Raum swings a free-kick from the left into the box and it's only half cleared out to Castello, lurking just inside the Bremen box. His left-footed strike goes through a crowd of players and crashes off the base of the post! What a start that would have been!

Bremen team news
Werder head coach Ole Werner has made four changes to his starting line-up following the 2-2 draw at Gladbach on Friday. Two of those are in defence, with Marco Friedl and Christian Groß coming in for Niklas Stark and Miloš Veljković. Elsewhere, Felix Agu is given a chance to shine in midfield in place of Olivier Deman, while Justin Njinmah replaces Romano Schmid.
Leipzig team news
Emil Forsberg is handed a start in his final game for the club prior to his transfer to the New York Red Bulls next month, coming in for Christoph Baumgartner. That is one of three changes following the team's 3-1 success over Hoffenheim at the weekend: Kevin Kampl also comes in for Xaver Schlager in central midfield, while Castello Lukeba takes Mohamed Simakan's place in central defence.

Goals from anywhere
Bremen will need to keep an eye on a whole host of Roten Bullen players as they go in search of victory - no team in the division has has as many difference goalscorers in the German top flight this campaign as Marco Rose's.
Ducksch to play a key role?
The striker has been Bremen's key player so far this campaign, scoring five goals in his last seven Bundesliga appearances, including in Die Werderaner's 2-2 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach last time out, and seven overall. However, he is yet to score against Leipzig in six career appearances.
