Jordan settles it
The Foals break. Koné races away on the left before pinging a wonderful shot wide of Nübel. The ball cracks against the post but Jordan is there to scoop home the rebound. Game over.

Scally attacks
Suddenly Scally is racing into the Stuttgart area. The American is all alone and tries to hold the ball up to wait for support. He eventually loses possession.

Huge Hack chance
Suddenly it's two on two as the Foals race forward. Hack races into the box and has Ngoumou in support. Hack goes it alone and pokes wide of the far post. Had he squared the ball for Ngoumou, it was game over.

VfB change
Luca Raimund is on for the closing stages of this game with Atakan Karazor making way.

Gladbach come alive
Superb work from Nathan Ngoumou, who works the ball in for Marvin Friedrich. His shot is blocked but the ball works its way out to Ngoumou who sends in another centre. Jordan flicks a shot past the far post.
76'
Foals change
Nathan Ngoumou is on for Honorat. Can the hosts see this one over the line? They're under plenty of pressure here.

Millot has a go
The France midfielder drills one low and hard wide of the upright.

Almost Undav
Stiller lifts the ball in for Undav and suddenly the forward is free in front of the target! Undav can't quite get the ball under control and Gladbach hack clear. That was close.

Visitors hunting
Stuttgart have really upped their efforts this half and look the likelier of the two sides to score the game's next goal. Führich sends a cross in from the left which just evades three teammates inside the area.

VfB back in it
Lovely goal. Vagnoman picks up possession just inside the area, moves across the box and unleashes an unstoppable left-footed shot that curls past the outstretched hand of Nicolas and in.

Woodwork specialists
Stuttgart have hit the woodwork an incredible 11 times this season, more than any other team. Deniz Undav has accounted for four of those.
38'
Undav chance
Führich pops a menacing pass to the far post where Undav is arriving. The striker is aiming for the target but his shot bounces across the face of goal and away.

Weigl booked
Weigl trods on Stenzel and that's a yellow card for the Foals' captain, who will miss his team's Matchday 18 game through suspension.
33'
Almost Stuttgart
The hosts get a little too casual in possession. Weigl loses the ball and the men in red work it to Undav, whose shot on the spin clips the outside of the post and flies wide.

Führich lively
Chris Führich looks to take matters into his own hands by going on a slaloming run at the Gladbach back line. The VfB player gets a shot away but it's blocked.

Foals in heaven
It's Hack again! Amazing, he scored only his second-ever Bundesliga goal at the start of this game and he has two in the opening 19 minutes here. VfB look to play it out from the back. Nübel's long pass is intercepted and the hosts work it back upfield. Pléa slips a fine pass through for Hack who lashes in for 2-0.

Super Reitz
Rocco Reitz provided one more assist for Hack's opener, which means the 21-year-old has five goal involvements in his last seven games.
13'
Gladbach break
Honorat bounds down the right and gets into the area. The cut-back is easily snuffed out by the Stuttgart defence, however. Honorat had more time to pick out a teammate there,

Foals look to double lead
Hack turns provider this time, the 25-year-old sliding a pass in for Honorat, whose close range shot is blocked out by Nübel. The flag then goes up; Honorat was offside.

Hack rarity
That was only Robin Hack's second Bundesliga goal. He previously netted in the German top flight on his debut on October 1, 2017 for Hoffenheim in a 3-2 defeat in Freiburg.

What a start!
Scenes! 21 seconds in and the hosts are in front! Amazing. Stuttgart are sloppy in possession and the Foals pounce. Honorat finds Reitz who plays a superb ball in for Hack. The Gladbach man still has work to do. He controls and fires a superb finish across Nübel and in at the far post!

New deal for Anton
Some news out of Stuttgart today in that they've tied their skipper, Waldemar Anton, to a new deal. Anton joined the club from Hannover in 2020 and his fresh terms will extend his stay to seven years.
Are VfB serious title contenders?
Going into Sunday's action, VfB sit third in the league with a one point advantage over RB Leipzig after Die Roten Bullen claimed victory yesterday. A win for Stuttgart today would leave them eight back from leaders Leverkusen, while the Foals are hoping today is the start of their run on the outside for a European place.
