Woodwork specialists
With Tel hitting the post earlier, it brought Bayern's tally for efforts against the woodwork to 13 this term, more than any other team.
82'
Bayern hit the post
Sané plays the most sumptuous of through passes for Tel to run onto. The 18-year old goes one-v-one against Dahmen and opts for a near post shot, bending the ball around the keeper. To Dahmen's relief, the effort cracks the base of the post and dribbles away to safety.
80'
Sané booked
Sané floors Pedersen away out on the left and that's a no brainer for the ref, a booking for the Bayern man.
78'
No go Tel
Bayern spread the ball across the pitch with Sané feeding Musiala, who in turn picks out Tel on the left. The French forward's shot is blocked. That was a decent chance for Tel, who will be disappointed not to have taken full advantage.

A bit of pinball inside the Bayern box and suddenly Beljo is heading at goal. Neuer stands firm and grabs possession before setting his side on the attack.

FCA changes
Jess Thorup makes a triple change, with Pedersen, Beljo and Engels thrown into the mix as the home side go on the chase.

Kane goal stands
Bayern have daylight between themselves and Augsburg again and it's that man Harry Kane who ends his mini drought. Sané's initial pass into the mixer was blocked and although it looked as if Jamal Musiala - in an offside position - played the subsequent assist for Kane, it was, in fact, Kristijan Jakić who inadvertently played the ball for the English striker to slot in.

Suddenly this game is end to end. Sané draws a save from Dahmen while up the other end, Fredrik Jensen thunders a shot at goal and looks on as his effort fizzes over the top.

Augsburg back in it
The home side are back in contention in this game thanks to a very tidy goal. Mbabu's flighted cross from the right is met be a ducking Ermedin Demirović header that angles towards the far post. Neuer is scrambling across his line but can't make it and the ball nestles in the corner.

Harry Kane goes in a little late on Mbabu and the English forward concedes a free kick. Incidentally, Kane is successive Bundesliga games without a goal for the first time. The division's top scorer will be keen to end that mini-run as soon as possible.

This is all too simple but it's brilliantly effective from Davies who collects the ball in the final third, scampers forward a touch and rifles a low shot from distance in at Finn Dahmen's near post.

Sané slides Kane in on the right and the Bundesliga's top scorer this season scuffs a low shot narrowly wide of the far post.

Just what Bayern didn't want. Despite the joy of going 1-0 up, the visiting side lost Kingsley Coman to a nasty looking injury in the build-up to their opening goal. Mathys Tel is on in Coman's stead.

Bayern in front
A Bayern set piece from the right is flicked on. Phillip Tietz wrestles with Kingsley Coman on the line and the ball rolls back for Aleksandar Pavlović, who is allowed to turn and smash high into the net for his first ever Bundesliga goal! A valuable one for the visitors gives them the lead in what has been a tricky contest thus far for the record champions.

Elvis Rexhbeçaj thunders the ball across Neuer from the left and the ball nestles in the net. The WWK erupts but there's a flag up on the far side. This is very close. In the end, a review agrees that Rexhbeçaj was in an offside position.

Augsburg's penalty hope
The referee points to the spot after it initially appears De Ligt handles the ball just inside the box with Demirović in close attendance. A quick review shows that the offence took place outside the box. Yellow card for De Ligt and a free kick, no penalty. The set piece comes to nothing.

Teams out!
Both sides take to the field at the WWK Arena on a pleasant afternoon in Augsburg. Blue skies and chilly sunshine make for near-perfect conditions for this Matchday 19 encounter.
Bayern focused
Despite their injury worries, Bayern look in high spirits as they head in for one final Thomas Tuchel pre-game team-talk. The visitors daren't let the three points on offer escape them today, especially with Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen in action later.
Warm-ups over
The teams have finished their respective pre-match warm-ups and are heading towards the tunnel. Roars of "FCA, FCA" ring out inside a packed WWK Arena. The home fans would be ecstatic to see their side repeat last season's 1-0 win against Bayern at this venue. Indeed, were they to emerge victorious, it would be three home triumphs in a row for the hosts against their Bavarian neighbours.
Not so familiar faces
Interestingly, comparing today's Augsburg starting eleven to last season's home game against Bayern (1-0), only four of those who began last year's game are starting today: namely Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Iago, Ermedin Demirović and Elvis Rexhbeçaj.

Jakić starts
Augsburg's winter loan signing from Eintracht Frankfurt, midfielder Kristijan Jakić, is in the host's starting line-up for the first time today - the Croatian replacing Arne Engels - in what is coach Jess Thorup's only change to the side that began last weekend's win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Augsburg auguring well
Victory over Gladbach last Sunday was Augsburg's first victory in four league games, and their squad looks stronger for the recent addition of Kristijan Jakić on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt. Jakić is pushing for a first start in midfield, while Bayern academy graduate Niklas Dorsch is back from suspension and also looking for a place in the centre of the park.
Bayern's bare bones
Tuchel has a tough task with his team selection today after injuries and international duties have left the Bayern boss without a number of stars. Right-back is a particular headache, with Noussair Mazraoui still at the Africa Cup of Nations and both Konrad Laimer and Joshua Kimmich injured against Union. Dayot Upamecano is also sidelined, meaning Eric Dier could make his first start for the club.
