Champions League bounce

Leipzig were in Champions League action against Real Madrid during the week, losing the home leg of the teams' Round of 16 encounter 1-0. Interestingly, Die Roten Bullen are unbeaten in the Bundesliga immediately after competing in Europe this term. They've managed five wins and a draw and have a goal difference of 17:3 in the top-flight games they've played following Champions League encounters in 2023/24.

Seoane's view on Leipzig

"Leipzig haven't got the results they wanted in recent games but still performed well. The team had a lot of chances to score but weren't clinical enough, like on Tuesday against Real Madrid. For me, Leipzig are among the top four teams in the Bundesliga. They have a clear line, high intensity and a lot of power up front. They also have a huge amount of individual quality."
