Half-time: Darmstadt 0-1 Stuttgart
The Bundesliga's third-placed side are a goal up but a man down at half-time. Serhou Guirassy celebrated his return to the VfB starting line-up with a close-range finish that brought his goals tally to 18 for the campaign. Pascal Stenzel's second booking will give the hosts hope in the second half, however.

Lucky Anton
Waldemar Anton almost scores what would have been a comedy own goal. Stuttgart's captain swiped at a Darmstadt through ball on the edge of the area and looked on in horror as the ball fizzed inches past the post.

Lieberknecht on Stuttgart's Deniz Undav
"Deniz made his professional debut under me at Braunschweig, but only really played for the reserves at Eintracht and scored goals. Deniz has an eye for goal. He's currently on track to become a Germany international. We hope he does. He's also developed really well because he's always believed in himself."

Darmstadt in relegation form
Darmstadt are winless in an unwanted club record 14 Bundesliga matches, dating back to a 2-1 victory in Augsburg on 7 October 2023. They're only other league win so far this season fell a week earlier, against Werder Bremen. Since then, the Lilies have claimed just five points from a possible 42.
