Full-time: Bayern 2-1 Leipzig
A Harry Kane double earns Bayern a much-needed win at the Allianz Arena! Leipzig were reactive when they went behind, but had no time to respond to the Englishman's second, meaning they leave empty-handed and the Bavarians snap their three-game losing streak.

Double Kane!
What a finish to the game, and what a finish from Kane! He turns on a sixpence and volleys in past Blaswich from Choupo-Moting's pass - Bayern lead again!

Final roll of the dice
After moving to a back three, Tuchel rolls the dice one last time with Choupo-Moting replacing Musiala. Can he provide the missing spark?

Kane unable
He could have had a hat-trick tonight - Harry Kane heads over from close range, with a big chance going begging.

And there it is!
It was in the air and, though he has a big deflection off Goretzka to thank, Šeško has brought Leipzig level. His shot was heading for the bottom left-hand corner before it struck Goretzka's toe and left Neuer wrong-footed as it flew into the opposite corner.

Haaland < Kane
Kane's 26th Bundesliga goal has come in his 23rd game, which is quicker than Erling Haaland managed to score his first 26 Bundesliga goals (28 games), earning the Englishman another record.

Neuer to the rescue!
A huge chance for Šeško to level! He's clean through on goal, but Neuer does what Neuer does best and makes himself big to deny the Leipzig forward.

Under Southgate's eyes
There is Bayern's response, and the opening goal! Under the watching eyes of England manager Gareth Southgate, Kane converts his third chance of the game, firing into the far corner from Musiala's assist.

Xavi straight at Neuer
All good things come in threes, and there's a third shot from Leipzig. Xavi's shot is too close to Neuer, though.
54'
Simakan close
From the resulting corner, Simakan gets in a low shot which curls just wide of the far post. Two good chances early in this second half for Leipzig - can Bayern respond the way they did to an early Leipzig effort in the first half?

Hardara
The first Leipzig shot to sting the palms of Manuel Neuer, and it probably did sting, with the power Haidara put behind that effort.

Half-time: Bayern 0-0 Leipzig
Bayern with their foot on the ball for much of this first half, but only two efforts from Harry Kane really to show for all of their possession. The Bavarians have been on top, but they've lacked a cutting edge. Can they find it in the second half?

Overhead Kane!
Another effort from Kane - his and Bayern's second of the game on target - this time an overhead effort with his back to goal, but it's easy for Blaswich.

Sané thwarted
A fine ball by Musiala sends Sané through, but Blaswich does well to scramble back after the German winger tries to take the ball past him, and his route to goal is blocked.

Ball watching
Leipzig are taking on average 27.3 seconds to regain possession of the ball, which is far above their season average of 14.3 seconds. Bayern are not giving them even a sniff of the ball here, though the hosts have only that one shot from Kane to show for it so far.

Kane!
What a chance for Bayern, with a move started and finished by the Englishman. He plays the ball out to the left before racing into the area and calling for the cross, which comes right onto his head. Kane's header is pushed onto the post by Blaswich, who is glad to see the ball fall back into his arms.

Nervy start
A chance after just 20 seconds for Dani Olmo, with a nervous clearance going straight to him. His shot is blocked, but it was a good opening for the guests.

Age and experience
Bayern's starting XI is both older and more experienced than Leipzig's, with an average age of 28.6 compared to 25.9 and a total of 1990 games compared to 930. Will all that added wisdom add up to three points for the Bavarians?
First for Kimmich
Kimmich makes his first start under Tuchel as a right full-back, with Dier in the centre of a totally new-look back four for Bayern.

More on those teams
Joshua Kimmich returns for Bayern, albeit at right-back. Eric Dier and Matthijs de Ligt are the centre-back pairing, with Dayot Upamecano suspended and Kim Min-jae benched. Leroy Sané is also back in the side in place of Eric Choupo-Moting. As for Leipzig, goalkeeper Janis Blaswich and defender Mohamed Simaken come in for the injured Peter Gulácsi and Lukas Klostermann, respectively. Bayern team news
Tuchel, meanwhile, has far more selection dilemmas. Sacha Boey, Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Noussair Mazraoui, Bouna Sarr and Konrad Laimer are all unavailable for selection due to injury, while Dayot Upamecano is suspended after his red card versus Bochum. Meanwhile, Bayern will also be sweating on Alphonso Davies and Aleksandar Pavlović's fitness, with both currently doubtful for the clash.
Leipzig team news
Marco Rose has little to worry about in the way of team selection, with only Lukas Klostermann definitely unavailable - Amadou Haidara, who is still recovering from a knee issue, is a doubt.

Head-to-head
Leipzig have fared rather well against Bayern in recent meetings, avoiding defeat in each of the last four games. That run includes a 3-0 DFL Supercup victory at the start of this term and a 3-1 win on Matchday 33 of the 2022/23 campaign that almost derailed Die Roten's title charge. The Munich outfit's last win over Die Roten Bullen came in the 2022 Supercup, which ended 5-3.
Tuchel to leave Bayern at the end of the season
Bayern confirmed on Wednesday that head coach Thomas Tuchel will leave his job at the end of the campaign. In a statement, FC Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said: "In a good, open discussion, we came to the decision to end our working relationship by mutual agreement in the summer. Our goal is to pursue a new footballing direction with a new head coach for the 2024/25 season."
