Freiburg on fire!

A lovely flowing, counter-attacking move involving Ritsu Dōan and Maximilian Eggestein ends with the former back-heeling to the Freiburg No.8, who waits until his teammate is in position before playing a pass across the face of goal. Dōan taps in from close range. Cue howls of derision from the home fans.

Goal-hungry Gregoritsch

The visitors hit the front and it's that man Michael Gregoritsch who pounces from close range to knock home Höler's deflected strike! It's been quite a few days for the forward, who netted a hat-trick for Austria against Turkey in the week.

Seoane on Freiburg

"I can only compliment Freiburg for how they've done in the last few years. The team have got better and better. We don't want to show them too much respect though. We want to play our style of football."

Streich on Gladbach

"We have to be really determined, defend cleverly and find solutions. We are travelling to Gladbach to get a result, of course. We have to put in a very good performance for that."

The farewell tour begins

Only Otto Rehhagel (490) and Thomas Schaaf (483) - both with Werder Bremen - have coached more games for a single club than Streich, who boasts a better points average (1.3 per game) than any other Freiburg boss in the club's Bundesliga history.
