Frimpong has a go
Poor Bremen, everyone wants in on the act for B04. Frimpong wallops a shot at the target which Zetterer beats away.

Still they come
The treble chasers are really on a mission here. Schick has an effort stopped by Zetterer. What a way to win the title.

Werder changes
Bremen's Kownacki and Deman come on to a wall of noise.

Game over!
Oh this is very tasty. If Xhaka's goal was superb, this is right up there. Andrich passes to Wirtz, who turns, takes a touch and smashes the ball high over the beleaguered Zetterer from outside the box. It really is party time in Leverkusen.

Cometh the hour!
What. A. Goal! If that's to be the one that settles this game, my word what a strike! Boniface jogs forward and cuts back for Xhaka, who essentially curls one from his front door. The ball flies past Zetterer and in! Astounding.

Wirtz and Boniface
The former is forced wide by Malatini, who makes another big challenge. Shortly afterwards, Wirtz curls just wide.

Off the bar!
Leverkusen have two huge chances in quick succession. Firstly, Tella's cut-back is met by a Hofmann shot. Miloš Veljković is there to clear off the line. Hofmann then finds Adli on the left moments later. The attacker sends a high shot crashing against the underside of the crossbar.

As solid as Bremen have looked here, it's perhaps worth remembering that the Green-Whites' last away win against a team leading the league was almost 21 years ago (1-0 at Bayern on April 12, 2003).

No 'Sofa Championship'
As we wait for the team sheets to arrive, it's perhaps worth celebrating the fact that we are here to see if Leverkusen can produce the needed victory in front of their own fans to lift the title. There did exist the possibility of the Werkself winning the so-called "Sofa Championship" - i.e. without kicking a ball - had Bayern Munich and Stuttgart both lost their respective matches yesterday.

Leverkusen team news
Alonso has masterfully balanced his squad this term, often rotating players in and out without losing any momentum in the process. Following the midweek win over West Ham in the Europa League, there is likely to be more changes. One of those could see Victor Boniface make his first Bundesliga start since Matchday 15.
Bremen team news
Out to spoil the party today are Bremen. Their task is a tough one, and one made even tougher by injuries to Amos Pieper and Marvin Ducksch last time out, plus suspensions for Jens Stage, Anthony Jung and Marco Frieidl. Ducksch, though, should be fit enough to lead the line.

Should Bayern and Stuttgart both lose at home on Saturday (to Cologne and Eintracht Frankfurt, respectively), Leverkusen will be crowned champions before a ball is kicked on Sunday.
History beckons
As well as sealing their first title with a win, Leverkusen can set a new Bundesliga record by making it to the end of Matchday 29 unbeaten. Bayern Munich were unbeaten after 28 matches of 2013/14 but lost their first match at this stage.
