Chance!
Asano races in on goal, but Baumann is quick off his line and forces the Bochum sub wide. By the time he gets round the keeper, the angle is just too tight and the shot is into the side netting.

Additional time
Into the first of five added minutes in Bochum...

Talking tactics
Bochum look like they might be shifting to three at the back with those changes. Hofmann's been brilliant, but it's all about getting the win over the line now...
84'
Hoffenheim strike again!
Well, well. Kramarić controls a long ball on the edge of the 18-yard area, before lifting a fabulous finish over the despairing Riemann. This is going to be a nervy finish for the home side...
79'
Chances!
Schlotterbeck attacks a loose ball as Bochum cause more worry for Hoffenheim from a corner. His effort is blocked, though. Baumann then makes a flying save to stop Passlack finding the top corner from range.
76'
Positive change
Takuma Asano, who was a doubt before the game, replaces Wittek for Bochum. Butscher isn't about to set his team up to sit on their lead - he wants daylight.

Hoffenheim have a goal back!
Kadeřábek beats Wittek for pace and finds Jurásek with a cross towards the back post. He volley goalwards, with Kramarić claiming the final touch. Is the comeback on?
71'
Riemann to the fore
After punching clear a cross with authority, Riemann makes a superb stop to prevent Bebou pulling a goal back. Passlack jumps on his captain as if he's just won the team the title, though there was an offside in the build-up.
70'
Fresh ideas
Bebou and Bülter are on for the visitors, who desperately need a spark.
65'
We need to talk about Kevin!
Bochum's main man completes his brace. He slips a pass into the six-yard box for Broschinski, whose initial effort is blocked by Baumann. Stöger reacts quickest, steering the loose ball past the goalkeeper.
62'
Table talk
Hoffenheim will be non-movers in ninth, if it stays like this. Bochum are up to 14th, three points above the relegation play-off place.

Strong save from Baumann
The Hoffenheim captain gets down well to his right to push Stöger's low effort wide of his near post. It's one-way traffic...

Bochum still on the front foot
A couple of corners have Hoffenheim in a panic, with Grillitsch hacking the first effort off the line!

Big goal!
And it goes the way of Bochum! The hosts work the ball down the left-hand flank, with Broschinski sending over a teasing cross that Kramarić doesn't deal with. Passlack takes full advantage, controlling and firing beyond Baumann for a precious 2-0 lead!
44'
Grillitsch soldiering on
Another bumpy landing in Bochum, but Grillitsch is back on his feet for Hoffenheim. It's sure been an uncomfortable first 45 for the visitors. Six minutes of added time still to go...

Schlotti concern
Schlotterbeck lands awkwardly on his right shoulder, but should be OK to continue. Looked nasty for a moment!
37'
Woodwork!
Hoffenheim almost with an immediate leveller as Kramarić collects a short corner and crosses into the six-yard box. Drexler outjumps Bernardo and beats Riemann with his header, but not the crossbar!
35'
You beauty!
Moments after Broschinski is denied by Baumann, Bochum take a deserved lead. It's dead-ball situation that comes about following Tohumcu's late challenge on Wittek. Stöger steps up and sends a brilliant effort past the goalkeeper, who didn't move.
32'
Over!
Wittek sneaks into the Hoffenheim penalty area unmarked, but can't keep his shot from Passlack's dinked pass down.
31'
First booking
Losilla's late on Kabak. That's his 10th booking of the season, and means he'll miss next week's trip to fellow strugglers Union Berlin.
29'
Wide!
Beier goes on the outside of his marker, before pulling a cross back for Prömel, who sends a first-time effort wide of Riemann's near post.
25'
No penalty!
Bochum can breathe again as the VAR rules Weghorst to have been offside when trying to get on the end of that pass into the penalty area. That was close!

Penalty!
Riemann only half clears a corner. It's sent back in for Weghorst, who takes a high boot from Hofmann to the face, and the referee points to the spot...

Hofmann with another superb turn and shot in the box. Baumann reacts brilliantly, though, to deflect it up and onto the woodwork.
5'
Over!
Ordets meets the ensuing corner, but his header clears the crossbar. Bochum mean business...
4'
Chance!
Hofmann is on the end of a Wittek cross this time, the Bochum striker turning in the box and forcing Baumann into a parried save.

Positive start!
Bochum go straight on the attack with Hofmann, but Tohumcu hooks it away before the whistle sounds for an offside.

Teams out
And the Ruhrstadion is bouncing. It's been a fortress for them in the Bundesliga - how they need a positive result tonight!
Relegation latest
Bottom side Darmstadt will be relegated on Sunday, if they lose at home to Heidenheim. They will also be down if they don't better Mainz or Bochum's results. Bochum could find themselves three points adrift of outright safety, meanwhile, if they lose today and Mainz beat second-bottom Cologne. A win for Cologne coupled with defeat for Bochum would cut the gap between the two clubs to just two points.
Top-six permutations
As it stands, sixth place will mean entry into the UEFA Conference League play-offs. This, though, could also change and drop to seventh or even eighth depending on the result of the DFB Cup final and how the European competitions play out. No team outside the top five can guarantee a top-eight finish on Matchday 31, though Hoffenheim will climb to seventh, overnight at least, with a win here.
All to play for
While Bundesliga survival is obviously the name of the game for Bochum, there is more than merely pride at stake for ninth-placed Hoffenheim. They are six points behind Eintracht Frankfurt in sixth and just one behind Freiburg in seventh; as such, qualifying for European competition next season is by no means out of the question.
