Full-time: Mainz 3-0 Dortmund
A one-sided opening quarter of the game saw this game over as a contest within 23 minutes. Dortmund's mind has already wandered to the Champions League final and Mainz capitalised for three points which take them out of the relegation play-off berth, away from automatic relegation danger and with their destiny in their own hands.

Foot on the ball
The pace of the game has dropped a lot with Dortmund circulating the ball, but not penetrating. Damage limitation has started and the guests are happy enough to ensure no more Mainz goals are scored, without desperately seeking a route back into this game.

Half-time: Mainz 3-0 Dortmund
Mainz have taken full advantage of Dortmund's Champions League hangover, with the guests not at the races at all just days after reaching the final of European football's elite club competition. Mainz have been hungry, and rewarded for it.

Almost a fourth!
Meyer this time IS able to get his hands to a shot from Barreiro and push it behind for a corner. It has been a challenging afternoon for the last line of the Dortmund defence, but he prevents Mainz from netting a fourth on this occasion.

Third brace for Lee
This is the third brace of Lee's Bundesliga career, and his second this season, having scored two against Darmstadt on Matchday 28; all six of his goals this season have come at home.

Zentner's there!
Dortmund finally put an attack together and show that Robin Zentner is on the field, the Mainz custodian making a fine save from Morey to earn a huge cheer from the fans.

Lee makes it three!
Mainz are three up! Once again Dortmund's defence is taken apart with ease, with Lee converting from the same position, and in the same style, as Barreiro's opener. It looks like the points are staying in Mainz, and we are barely halfway through the first half.

Easy does it!
Mainz are making it look easy against the Champions League finalists! Safety is within their grasp as Lee doubles their lead, intercepting a poor clearance from Meyer and tucking it into the empty net.

First blood
It has been all Mainz so far, and they deservedly take the lead! Leandro Barreiro provides a side-foot finish from Widmer's cut-back, and the 05ers are ahead.

Crossbar!
Amiri's direct free-kick flies through the wall and hits the crossbar, with Meyer not even making a move for the ball, it was struck so well.

Chance for hosts
Gruda is caught on the edge of the box, giving Mainz a good shooting opportunity from 20 yards.... They've scored four from free-kicks so far this season.

The Yellow Wall is there
It may not be as imposing as it is at Signal Iduna Park, but there are a few bricks of that Yellow Wall in a corner of the MEWA Arena.

Dead rubber for Dortmund
Having reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in midweek, and with fifth spot and a place in the Champions League sealed, this game is something of a dead rubber for Dortmund. They will certainly want to win, but there would be no harm done if they do not.
Pursuing a precious point
With Cologne's dramatic win over Union Berlin earlier, Mainz know they need a win to be sure of avoiding direct relegation. Given their 12-goal superior goal difference, though, a point would be enough to put the Billy Goats at a safe distance behind them, and it would also take them out of the relegation play-off berth at the expense of Union Berlin.

Revenge best served cold
Although Dortmund's Champions League spot is confirmed next season and they have nothing to play for compared to Mainz, victory could be the most brutal revenge for last season's final day heartbreak. M05 have been inspired since Bo Henriksen's arrival, but still sit 16th in the Bundesliga. BVB could give them a final day from hell if they and Cologne win, while a relegation/promotion play-off match could also be confirmed today.

Mainz to ruin Reus farewell tour?
Departing BVB legend Marco Reus has 14 goals in 22 Bundesliga games against Mainz, making them his joint-favourite opponent (also 14 vs. Werder Bremen), but the 05ers have drawn the last two encounters and have conceded only four goals in their last seven Bundesliga outings, while they boast a record of four wins and two draws at home under Bo Henriksen.
