Watch: Alphonso Davies expects 'hungry' Bayern next season

camera-photo

Full-time: Bayern 2-0 Wolfsburg

Bayern stroll to victory in Tuchel's final home game in charge. Plenty of positives for the record champions, with Zvonarek marking his first start with the opening goal and Pavlović supremely polished in the middle of the park. Bayern climb back up to second, ahead of next week's season finale in Hoffenheim. Wolfsburg stay 12th and can no longer qualify for Europe, after a very flat display.

Another debut

Jonathan Asp-Jensen replaces the impressive Zvonarek. The 18-year-old Danish midfielder has three goals and 10 assists across 31 appearances for Bayern's U19s and reserves so far this season.

Time added on

Bayern are closing in on their 23rd win of the Bundesliga campaign. This has certainly been one of their easier ones. Three minutes left in Munich...

Crucial intervention

Pejčinović is lurking at the back post, but Upamecano get up to head clear.
86'

Gone with the Wind

Wolfsburg's 11-goal Dane makes way after being left to feed on scraps at the Allianz Arena. Pejčinović, 19, is on for his fifth Bundesliga appearance.
83'

Promising move

Lacroix barrels forward from the back. The ball eventually finds Tomás, but the Wolfsburg sub can't find the target from range.
80'

Fresh legs

Difficult game for Paredes and Baku. Tomás and Černý - who scored against Darmstadt last week - are on.
78'

Who is Matteo Pérez Vinlöf?

A fair question. He's an 18-year-old left-back of Swedish-Peruvian descent, who's made 26 appearances for the reserves in Germany's fourth tier since joining Bayern from Hammarby last summer.
76'

Searching pass

De Ligt aims long for the run of Müller, who peels off the Wolfsburg back line, only to be beaten to the punch by Casteels.
74'

Bayern changes

There goes Neuer, with Peretz his replacement. Zaragoza gets a big pat on the back from Tuchel as he makes way for 18-year-old debutant Matteo Pérez Vinlöf, while Laimer and De Ligt are on for Goretzka and the injured Kim, respectively.
72'

Kim concern

The Bayern defender indicates to the bench after challenging for a ball with Wind. Looks like an ankle problem...
69'

Peretz warming up

The Israeli goalkeeper is getting ready to come on for his Bundesliga debut. Neuer's not injured, so that must be more about giving Peretz some invaluable senior minutes whilst allowing Bayern's captain a standing ovation on his 500th Bundesliga appearance.
65'

Chance!

Müller meets a Kimmich corner, but a green shirt gets in the way to prevent a certain goal. Casteels was rooted to the spot.
64'

Not enough

As it is, Wolfsburg will no longer be able to sneak a European qualification spot. They needed maximum points today and from their final game against Mainz, as well as favourable results elsewhere, to have any chance.
61'

Over!

Bornauw goes through the back of Tel as the Frenchman tries to touch a pass back off to the rampaging Goretzka. Kimmich steps up to take the resultant free-kick, but clears the Wolfsburg goal frame by some distance.
58'

Out to impress

Zvonarek shows great fight to win back the ball in the Wolfsburg half. The Croatian teenager exchanges passes with Müller, but is crowded out before he can get a shot off inside the area.
56'

Nice idea

Bayern move it nicely, before Bryan rolls the ball onto his right foot and curls a shot down the throat of Casteels.

Majer picks up the game's first yellow card for a foul on Müller.

Goals from Zvonarek and Goretzka have Bayern in complete control at the break. Zaragoza also had an effort chalked off in what's been a commanding team display, despite all the absentees. Wolfsburg with it all to do...

Added time

The fourth official's board shows another 60 seconds as Bayern attack with Zvonarek, whose attempted centre is just behind Goretzka.

Tame

Bayern concede possession in the Wolfsburg half. Wind pounces and tries to catch out Neuer from range, but his effort barely gets off the ground.

So far, so good

As things stand, Bayern are back up to second. They go to Hoffenheim on the final day, while Stuttgart host Gladbach.

Red swarm

Bayern are back on the front foot as Davies sends over a cross from the left that evades everyone in the Wolfsburg area. The home fans are in fine voice - they appreciate this performance.

First decent spell of possession for the Wolves. Bayern are just sitting back.

Bayern really won't be taking prisoners today. Wolfsburg just can't get out and Bryan Zaragoza creates some space on the left hand side, fires in a cross which Zvonarek heads down. Müller then cleverly lays it off to Leon Goretzka who curls the ball in for a second.

What's at stake?

Today is all about pride for Bayern after their Champions League semi-final exit against Real Madrid. The Bavarian's were leapfrogged by Stuttgart into second on Saturday, and will be keen to regain that spot. Wolfsburg, meanwhile, still have a shot at European football. Ralph Hasenhüttl has revolutionised the side and they're currently on the longest winning run in the league with three-straight victories. A win today keeps them in with a shot of a seventh-placed finish and Europa Conference League spot, but that could still drop to eighth post-season.
camera-photo

Neuer and Müller landmarks

Today will be Manuel Neuer's 500th Bundesliga game. The former Schalke man is 12th in the all-time list. Thomas Müller, meanwhile, could needs one goal to reach the 150 mark in the Bundesliga - only Gerd Müller (365), Robert Lewandowski (238) and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (162) have more for Bayern.
camera-photo

Another debut!

Along with their two new faces and pair of new starters, Bayern will also be showing off their 2024/25 kit in their final game of the season at the Allianz Arena. The strip is in three different shades of red and will replace this season's white and red kit.

More call ups

Along with Croatian academy star Zvonarek making his first start, there's two new faces in the Matchday squad for Bayern. Jonathan Asp-Jensen and Matteo Perez Vinlöf will be seeking their first senior minutes off the bench this afternoon.

He's also handed first Bundesliga starts to January signing Bryan Zaragoza and academy graduate Zvonarek. Tuchel ahead of Wolfsburg

Hasenhüttl on Bayern

"It's never easy to play against FC Bayern - especially not in their stadium. The game is a Herculean task, but it’s a great opportunity to show ourselves: What’s going really well? What is still missing? And where do we still need to improve?”

Wolves restricted in Munich

Wolfsburg have never won a Bundesliga game away at Bayern in 26 attempts. No other team has ever played so many matches away at a particular opponent in the top flight without ever registering a victory.
