Watch: Hoffenheim vs. Holstein Kiel on Matchday 1 of 2024/25
One in, one out at Hoffenheim
Die Kraichgauer have suffered a setback during the summer, losing Maximilian Beier to Borussia Dortmund. The forward scored 16 goals for Hoffenheim last year, and will take some replacing. However, Pellegrino Matarazzo will be hoping Adam Hložek, who joins from Bayer Leverkusen, can step up.
Holstein Kiel make history
After winning promotion from Bundesliga 2 last term, Kiel will play in the Bundesliga for the first time in their history. Marcel Rapp and his players will be up against it amongst the elite this campaign, but they will be buoyed by their 2023/24 campaign.
