Full-time: Stuttgart 2-0 Bochum

A deserved win for Stuttgart, who piled on the pressure all match and duly bagged two second-half goals. Bochum held out for long stretches, soaking up the pressure, but didn't have the cutting edge to hit back after falling behind. Stuttgart thus get back on track and climb to provisional seventh while bottom side Bochum, still winless, continue to prop up the table.

Hoeneß's view on Bochum

"The change of coach obviously makes Bochum different to analyse. There's real life in Bochum now. Dieter Hecking has managed to bring that in a short space of time. You could see it against Leverkusen, and it's the same approach Bochum will take against us."
camera-photo

Hecking's view on Stuttgart

"Stuttgart's performances have been decent, but they've come out of that with too few points. They're also conceding too many goals for a top team. Maybe it's a chance for us to get our foot in the door. They lost some important players [over the summer] but still have plenty of quality. Chris Führich, Enzo Millot, Deniz Undav and Ermedin Demirović can hurt any team. Stuttgart play differently to Leverkusen, maybe not quite so big on counter-pressing."

Watch: Sky's the limit for Alexander Nübel

Alex Nübel returns to Bundesliga action, fresh from winning his second Germany cap. The Bayern Munich-owned Stuttgart goalkeeper played in a 1-1 draw with Hungary, only being beaten by a 99th-minute penalty. Find out why he's so highly regarded...

Can Hecking be Bochum’s hero?

Despite earning a hard-fought point against Leverkusen in Hecking’s first match in charge, Bochum have gone without a win in their opening 10 league matches for the first time in their Bundesliga history. It will be a tough trip to Stuttgart for Bochum, but their new boss has won 12 competitive matches against the Swabians, more than against any other team in his coaching career.
