Full-time: Bremen 2-2 Stuttgart

What an afternoon at the Weser Stadium. Stuttgart will certainly be happier with the point, and not just because they scored last. Bremen put in a brilliant display but just lacked that finishing touch with their biggest chances falling to defenders. Stuttgart were still dangerous throughout, and Hoeneß will be happy after what happened midweek.

Stage does it off the bench!

What a substitution! With all of Bremen's chances it's the latest man to join the fray who does what his teammates couldn't. It's another sublime ball from Duksch from a corner and Bremen fail to get a head on it again, but there's Stage to swing a foot at the loose ball and put it in off the bar.

Half-time: Bremen 1-1 Stuttgart

A fascinating first half comes to an end with Bremen on top. Goalscorer Njinmah has been sublime and Ole Werner has the better game plan so far. However, Stuttgart's two shots on goal were huge chances, and showed they can steal some points at any moment.

xGoals
The xGoals value of a club is calculated from the sum of all goal probabilities (goals and shots on goal) of that team. During a match, it’s easy to see whether the club is performing better than expected (goals> xGoals) - or maybe even higher (xGoals> goals).
As the xG charts show, Demirović should have scored, but Bremen certainly shouldn't have allowed such a good chance in their six-yard box.
