Having fought off relegation last season, Bochum will be hoping their first three points of the season come sooner rather than later following their opening day defeat to Leipzig. Visitors Gladbach also tasted defeat in their opening game so the home side will also have to be wary as they chase the three points.

Bochum also faced tough opposition in their opening game, coming up against Marco Rose's Leipzig. The away side kept out Leipzig's attacking talent until the second-half, when new signing Antonio Nusa struck to make sure his new side started with a win.

Fighting spirit

Having come back from two goals down against Leverkusen before losing in the closing minutes, Gladbach can take plenty of positives from the opening game against last year's champions. New signing Tim Kleindienst got on the scoresheet and Kevin Stöger also impressed; both will be hoping they can contribute to a win on matchday two.

Gerard Seoane's side were unlucky to have come away with nothing against champions Leverkusen in their opening game. After going two goals down, Gladbach showed great spirit to pull themselves level and they would've taken a deserved point from the game were it not for a last minute goal from Florian Wirtz.
