Much better from Bremen in the second half, but Gladbach demonstrated their game management excellently. The triple change at half-time for the visitors made them come out very quickly after the break. Gladbach managed to survive the early onslaught, before putting the game to bed, courtesy of Stöger getting their fourth of the evening. One of the few bright sparks for Bremen was a debut goal and good performance from debutant Topp, but it was only a consolation. Things went bad to worse with Mitchell Weiser being sent off, and despite ending up having had more shots than the hosts, it never looked as though Gladbach's lead was truly threatened. That's three Bundesliga games in a row The Foals have now won.

That looked really dangerous from Bremen. The striker was through but Marvin Friedrich made an excellent block against his shot, which he celebrated like a goal. The Gladbach clean sheet stays intact.

As simple as that! Bremen get punished for their high line. A long ball down the right releases Kleindienst, who crosses into the near post where Stöger was waiting. A third assist for the big man and a goal after four minutes for the substitute, having come on for Pléa. That must be game over.

Pléa combines well with Honorat, before releasing Hack down the left. The midfielder didn't want to shoot with his left and tried to cut it back onto his right, but slipped and lost the ball in the process.

The wide-man is brought down by Ullrich on the right of the Gladbach area. It's a promising free-kick. Ducksch takes, whipping it towards the danger area and contact is made meaning Nicolas has to make an excellent reflex save. But there was a foul in the box anyway, so any goal wouldn't have counted.

He picks the ball up on the edge of the Gladbach area. Working the ball onto his right, he lets a curling effort fly which Nicolas just manages to tip round the post with his fingertips. Nothing comes of the subsequent corner though.

The substitute is causing problems again. He goes on a marauding run from the halfway line, beating at least three Gladbach defenders. He then gives it to Schmid, whose powerful shot Nicolas manages to parry. They've already had more shots this half than they did in the entirety of the first.

Bremen work it well and have an overlap down the left. Köhn is played through and his shot really tests Nicolas, but the Gladbach keeper is equal to it. A more positive start by Bremen this.

What a half for The Foals! The visitors started brightly in the first minute, but ever since it has been all Gladbach. Bremen gave the ball away too easily and too often in their own half and Gladbach punished them, grabbing two goals in very quick succession after twelve minutes. Bremen stabilised somewhat but were still struggling to create chances, and Pléa, Honorat and Kleindienst have run riot. The latter has grabbed two assists and the others a goal each. Bremen will have to hope they can quieten them down in the second half, and produce a comeback akin to that which they managed against Hoffenheim, if they're to get anything from this match.

Bremen commit men forward, after a spell of attacking play. Gladbach win it back and break quickly. Kleindienst gets the ball at the half-way line, turns and plays Honorat through on goal. The Bremen defence can't catch him and he finishes ice-coolly in the bottom left corner past Zetterer.
