ALL OVER IN HAMBURG!

Hannover chalk up a superb victory that continues their resurgence under Christoph Dabrowski and ends Pauli's unbeaten home record this season. Kaiser, Kerk and Stolze got the goals for the visitors while first Burgstaller and then Kyereh missed a penalty for the hosts in what was a bizarre five minutes. A well earned win for Hannover.

MOVE ALONG, NOTHING TO SEE HERE

We won't have a third penalty and the score remains 3-0 to Hannover. Pauli could do with the whistle going now but they've got five minutes, plus added time to navigate still.

KYEREH MISSES!

Kyereh rattles it agains the bar and the ball just won't go in. Incredibly, Pauli might get a third chance due to another infringement...

PENALTY RETAKE

Hold on now, it looks like Pauli will retake this penalty. Play moved on and the game looked to continue but VAR has taken a look and pulled it back for infringement. Kyereh will take it this time...
80'

PENALTY SAVED!

It just isn't Pauli's day. Top-scorer Burgstaller steps up but is denied by Zieler. This has been a superb day all round for Hannover and a forgettable one for Pauli.

GOAL STOLZE!

Game. Over. Hannover have a third and all three points are now wrapped up. The ball lands in the penalty box and Stolze races onto the ball before rifling home. Some performance this from the away side.

PAULI PENALTY APPEAL

Burgstaller finally finds some space in the box and goes down under the challenge of Börner, but the referee waves play on. There's a brief VAR consultation, but the decision stands. No penalty.

GOAL KERK!

The Hannover counter roars into speed and the visitors are 2-0 to the good. Pauli's defence are all at sea and picked apart, with Kerk racing into the box to lift over Vasilj. Superb from Hannover who are on course for a vital victory while denying Pauli top spot in the process. Still half an hour to go, though.

GOAL IN DUSSELDORF

Fortuna have a 2-0 lead at the Merkur Spielarena, with Daniel Ginczek on the scoresheet. That would be a big win for Fortuna and speaking of goals...

NO WAY THROUGH

Hannover survive the corner bombardment with Zieler pulling off a good save in amongst the madness. This is frantic, frenetic and a whole lot of fun.
53'

SCORPION KICK ANYONE?

Hannover pressing for a second in another breathless opening since the break. Hult attempts a scorpion kick at the near post but gets none of it. Spectacular if you pull it off, not so much if you don't. Pauli go right up the other end and have a series of corners...
49'

VASILJ KEEPS OUT KIERK

Hannover look very good on the break, moving the ball at pace and with precision. On one of those counters, Kierk picks the ball up with space in front of him before letting fly a swerving effort that Vasilj does well to tip over. Great start to the second half from the away side.

AND BREATHE!

Well, that was a superb closure to the first 45 minutes in Hamburg and you didn't want it to end. The game picked up in pace and there were chances at both ends, but it's Hannover who have the lead through Kaiser's goal. It sets us up for a cracking second period.

TEUCHERT THROUGH ON GOAL...

... but he puts it wide! This game has burst into life at the end of the first half and Hannover should have a second as Teuchert pounces on some woeful Pauli defending but he's denied by the trailing foot of Vasilj.
45'

KYEREH FLASHES WIDE

Kyereh has comfortably been Pauli's best player in attack and he cuts inside from the left before drilling low, but inches wide of Zieler;s goal.
44'

PAULI TRYING TO RESPOND

Kyereh whips a ferocious cross into the box that Hult does very well to turn behind for a corner as Pauli try to respond but Hannover are holding firm.
40'

GOAL KAISER!

Hannover have ended the first half superbly and they earn the breakthrough thanks to Kaiser's tap-in from two yards out. In the side today as his team's only change, Kaiser gives the visitors what is a deserved lead after a dominant last five minutes.

HOW'S HE MISSED?

A superb, free-flowing move from Hannover ends with Kerk somehow missing from a yard out. It's not proven too costly, though...

QUIET BURGSTALLER

The league's top-scorer hasn't had a sniff yet and has been kept very quiet by Hannover, who will be pleased with how they've handled Burgstaller thus far. Plenty of time left for that to change...

PAULI PRESSURE

Pauli this time go close as Kyereh, leg outstretched and catching the ball on the volley to the right of Hannover's six-yard box, superbly squares across the face of goal but no-one's there to tap home. You sense a goal is coming here.
26'

KERK FROM RANGE...

A good 35-yards from goal, Kerk lets fly from a free-kick but drags it wide. He caught it flush but didn't quite have the accuracy to trouble Vasilj.

GOAL IN DARMSTADT

PAULI GETTING CLOSER

Hartel faces up his defender on the edge of the box and gets a run on his man but can only fire well over as he looks to open his body up and bend it into the far corner on the instep of his right-foot. Good opening.
17'

PAULI ON TOP

The hosts have looked the more threatening side so far but Hannover remain a danger on the counter. It's opening up.
11'

PAULI ALMOST CAUGHT OUT

A very clever free-kick from Hult as Hannover suggest they're just placing the ball down before the left-back whips a dangerous ball into the box that's just out of the reach of Franke. The hosts were caught napping there.
8'

ZIELER DENIES KYEREH

The ball lands to Kyereh on the edge of the Hannover box but his effort is repelled by Zieler. Kyereh looked to place it into the top right corner but didn't start it wide enough and it was easy enough for the Hannover 'keeper to deal with.

GOAL IN DUSSELDORF!

The first goal of the day has come in Düsseldorf, where Fortuna have taken an early lead through Rouwen Hennings. Still goalless in Hamburg.

BOTH TEAMS START BRIGHTLY

The away side have made a very bright start early on. Hult does well out on the left but his cross evades his teammates, before Pauli race down the other end and nearly get a sight of goal themselves. Lively stuff.

GET WELL SOON, SEBI!

Hannover's players were out training in t-shirts with get well soon messages for Sebastian Ernst earlier. The midfielder recently ruptured an Achilles tendon and will miss the remainder of the campaign.

ELSEWHERE TODAY

It's worth noting that this is one of three fixtures taking place in Bundesliga 2 at the same time today. Elsewhere, Fortuna Düsseldorf host Erzgebirghe Aue and Hansa Rostock travel to Darmstadt. We'll keep you across the goals as they go in from those games.

10 MINUTES TO KICK-OFF

The countdown is on at the Millerntor-Stadion, where the fans in attendance are fairly well covered up and there are plenty of hats, scarves, gloves and, of course, face masks on show. It's a cold one, reading at just six degrees Celsius on the official thermometer.

HOW IT STANDS

Pauli lost top spot this weekend but draws for Werder Bremen and Hamburg mean German's Kult Klub would return to the summit with a two-point lead if they win today. As for Hannover, they start the day 13th and could finish the day in the bottom three if they're not careful.

WATCH: PAULI EDGE FIVE-GOAL THRILLER LAST TIME OUT

Pauli were involved in a thriller with Jahn Regensburg last weekend, eventually edging their hosts 3-2. Here's hoping for an equally exciting game when we get underway in half an hour!

ONE CHANGE FOR HANNOVER

The visitors' line-up is much more as you'd expect with just one change from the side that drew 2-2 at home to Darmstadt last time out. The change comes in midfield, with Gael Ondoua replaced by Dominik Kaiser.

ZIEREIS OUT, KYEREH IN

Some significant looking changes for St. Pauli today, with captain Philipp Ziereis missing out altogether and replaced by Adam Dzwigala at centre-back. Further forward, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh starts for the first time in 2022, while league top-scorer Guido Burgstaller leads the line alongside 18-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt loanee Igor Matanovic.
