Eintracht Frankfurt's Kevin Trapp: "Super Cup a chance to show what we can do"
Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp says Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup meeting with Real Madrid offers the Eagles "a chance to show what we can do" as they bid to add another trophy to their cabinet after tasting Europa League glory in May.
bundesliga.com rounds up the pre-match thoughts from both camps ahead of the showdown in Helsinki.
Oliver Glasner, Frankfurt head coach: “Real are very comfortable on the ball, they sometimes attack very high. We want to play out from a compact defence and play with confidence, great passion, great willingness to run and great spirit. Of course, we also want to be dangerous from set pieces. It will be decided by details. We need to handle their strengths as best we can. I’m very confident that we can cause Real problems. The aim is clear: we want to return to Frankfurt with another trophy."
Kevin Trapp, Frankfurt goalkeeper: "The match is hugely significant for us because it's the reward for our performances. We'll be testing ourselves against arguably the best team in Europe and we have the chance to show what we can do. We're looking forward to it."

Rafael Borre, Frankfurt striker: "It's a huge game for us. It's a final. We've got the chance to make history again and to win another trophy. You have to enjoy moments like this. We need to be focused and strong. We need to defend compactly and be clinical when we have moments on the break. Then we'll have a chance."
Luka Modric, Real Madrid midfielder: “It was a tough but special journey to win the Champions League. We're really excited and raring to win the UEFA Super Cup. It's the first trophy of the season and we want to win it. We’ll be giving our all and I hope that that shows out on the pitch. We’ll be giving our all, just as we do every season. Every competition is important for us. We're here to win again and we hope to get the season off to the best possible start tomorrow night."
Karim Benzema, Real Madrid forward: "It's an important game for us. We've had a very good pre-season, we're ready and are going to try and win and give our all out there to head back to Madrid with the trophy. We're not young, but we work hard, both on and off the field. We've got the ability to perform to a high standard."
Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid head coach: “I watched the Eintracht game against Bayern and we won’t be fooled by that. They deserved to win the Europa League because they beat some very strong sides. They’re a lively side who play high-intensity football. We know all about them and if we’re to beat them we're going to have to fight, battle and play well. We're in good shape to do just that because we’ve trained well and are feeling really confident."
