Full-time: France 1-1 Poland

It turns out this really was the 'Group of Death'. Poland were excellent as they held France in Dortmund and they could have easily had more. The result means Austria top Group D ahead of France who have plenty of questions over their status as one of the favourites to win Euro 2024...

A reminder: Poland are already out of Euro 2024, Austria, France and the Netherlands are already in the last 16.

As it stands...

Just as Poland go level, there's TWO goals in the other game. Depay equalises for the Netherlands but then Sabitzer puts Austria 3-2 up. Austria are back top of the group with France second ahead of Netherlands in third.

Goal! Lewandowski!

Lewandowski goes the same way and couldn't have placed it any better in off the post. Poland are already out of Euro 2024 but this is a great performance in a thrilling Group D.

Half-time: France 0-0 Poland

It's fitting that the final act of the first half is a great clearance from Lukasz Skorupski. The Poland keeper has been excellent, but it's not like his teammates haven't. This one could still go either way, and with Austria ahead against the Netherlands, France will be worried.

Bundesliga interest

There's three Bundesliga players to keep your eyes on today, Kingsley Coman and Dayot Upamecano of France and Bayern Munich, and also Tymoteusz Puchacz of Kaiserslautern and Poland. Of course there's also Bayern Munich legend Lewandowski who has the hopes of a nation on his shoulders.

More on those teams

The headline news is the return of France captain Kylian Mbappe after his broken nose against Austria. He's one of two changes, replacing Marucs Thuram while Bradley Barcola comes in for Antoine Griezmann. Poland give their talisman Robert Lewandowski his first start of the tournament. He joins Skorupski, Urbanski, Szymanski and Moder in making their way into the line-up. Buksa, Piatek, Szczesny, Slisz and Piotrowski make way.

France hungry for goals

France are already through to the tournament's Round of 16 but their fans would delight in seeing Le Bleus score a few more goals. Didier Deschamps's side have mustered just one in their two games in the competition thus far.

Poland fans in good spirits

Despite their team having been knocked out of Euro 2024 with a game to spare, Poland's fans are making the most of their remaining time in Germany by helping to create a party atmosphere in Dortmund today.

France close in on knockouts

France will secure a top-two finish in Group D if they avoid defeat to already eliminated Poland. A shock loss would also send them through, as long as Austria don't beat the Netherlands. A draw in that game coupled with a France defeat would leave them and Austria level on four points, but les Bleus would finish second on head-to-head.
