Possible last-16 opponents

The Group E winner will face third in Group C or D (Slovenia or the Netherlands). The runner-up will go up against France. If third is ranked highly enough to progress, that team will take on England.

Who's through?

Spain, Germany, Denmark, Portugal, France, Austria, England, Switzerland and Italy have made it through to the last 16. The remaining seven spots will be decided later today, with up to three progressing from Group E.

The home of Die Adler and also the occasional NFL fixture, the Frankfurt Arena is the perfect venue for high-stakes clashes like this one.

Bundesliga representatives

Romania have no current players plying their trade in either the Bundesliga or Bundesliga 2. However, Slovakia can call on Matúš Bero (Bochum), László Bénes (Hamburg) and Peter Pekarík (Hertha Berlin).

Historic matchday 3 in group E

For the first time ever at the Euros, four sides go into the third matchday of the tournament on the same number of points. Romania, the group leaders, could go through as winners if they beat Slovakia and maintain their superior goals for record over Belgium, who are second in place. Roberto Martinez's side have their work cut out for them against Ukraine, but will take confidence from their 2-0 win against Romania. Ultimately, whoever wins will qualify and will also progress as group winners depending on the outcomes elsewhere. Should there be draws in both the group E games, goal difference will send Romania and Belgium through, with Slovakia awaiting their fate in third place and a group-stage elimination for Ukraine.
