Full-time: Paderborn 2-2 Frankfurt

It ends as a draw! Paderborn had several excellent chances to take the lead after the break, with Müller missing the best of them from close range. Eintracht then came back into the game but similarly failed to find the net. Chaibi hit the post, and Burkardt missed from a promising position. With 15 minutes remaining, Pieringer confidently converted a penalty to give Paderborn the lead. Playing with ten men, Frankfurt couldn't create any real danger until Atubolu laid the ball off for Burkardt from the final corner of the match, who spectacularly backheeled the equaliser. On balance, that was probably the fairest result.

Burkardt equalises!

Frankfurt have snatched a point right at the end! Atubolu gets a remarkable assist after going up for the corner. His head found Burkardt in the six-yard box, who beautifully back-heeled the ball into the back of the net. It's 2-2 with seconds remaining!

Brassier brings down Pieringer inside the Frankfurt box and the referee doesn't hesitate in pointing to the spot. The Paderborn forward will take the penalty...

Burkardt skies it

Højlund lays the ball into the path of the German international, who strikes the ball first time from around 20 yards out. However, his shot rises far too high to trouble Noll in the Paderborn goal.

Baum booked

Marino skips past the Frankfurt defender on the halfway line with a lovely bit of skill. Baum's response is to bring him down - for which he picks up a yellow card.
58'

Wide from Uzun

Uzun is given space to shoot on the perimeter of the Paderborn area. He strikes the ball well, but it trundles narrowly wide of the near post.

Off the post!

Frankfurt respond with a big chance of their own from Chaïbi. After being played in on the right side of the Paderborn penalty area, the Frankfurt man fires the ball first time. His shot strikes the near post, hits Noll and somehow goes behind for a corner kick. There has been nonstop action at both ends of the pitch since the match resumed.
52'

What a miss!

Obermair and Müller combine once again, with the former putting the ball on a plate for his teammate inside the six-yard box. However, the Paderborn forward gets his angles all wrong and drags his shot inches wide of Atubolu's right post. Müller can't believe he's missed that...
50'

Müller denied

Obermair gets to the byline down the left and picks out Müller with a low cross. Brassier then makes up for his error in the first half by blocking the Paderborn forward's goalward shot. That was a crucial intervention.

Half-time: Paderborn 1-1 Frankfurt

Frankfurt have been the more clinical in front of goal, but overall, you have to say Paderborn were the better side in the first half. The visitors took the lead against the run of play in the 23rd minute through Burkardt's instinctive finish. The hosts missed several big chances to equalise, but finally found a breakthrough via Obermair just before the break. It sets up a fascinating second half.

Paderborn level it!

The constant pressure finally pays off for the home side! Müller flicks the ball to the wide open Obermair on the left side of the Frankfurt box, who slots it through the legs of Atubolu and into the net. We're all level in Paderborn!

Onyedika brings down Marino from around 30 yards out. However, from the resulting set piece, Koch is fouled and a free kick is awarded to Frankfurt.

Marino fouls Koch

A promising Paderborn attack ends with Koch being fouled and the move coming to an end. That just about sums up how frustrating the first half has been for the hosts.
37'

It just needed a touch!

Chaïbi is causing problems again down the left for Frankfurt. This time he flashes an inviting low ball across the Paderborn six-yard box that just evades Uzun. Whenever Frankfurt do venture forward, they pose a major threat.

Scrappy moments

Paderborn have lost their way slightly since Marino hit the crossbar. Promising moves have been undone by sloppy passing and and a lack of composure in the final third.

Off the bar!

Marino dispossesses Brassier, who waited too long to offload the ball deep in his own half. The Paderborn forward then does brilliantly well to work some space for a shot, which rattles the crossbar and goes behind for a goal kick. The home side have created some excellent shooting opportunities so far.
26'

High and wide

Frankfurt are looking to add a second here. From a corner kick, the ball comes back out to Baum. He shoots from some 25 yards out, but it's well off target.

Frankfurt take the lead!

Completely against the run of play, the visitors have scored the opening goal of the match! The ball breaks to Chaïbi on the left side of the Paderborn area, who expertly pulls it back for the waiting Burkardt. He sweeps it into the far corner of the net with a clinical finish to hand his side a crucial goal.

For the visitors, Ruben Müller makes his first start of the season, replacing Marvin Pieringer in attack - Paderborn's only change after last weekend's goalless draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

More on that Frankfurt team

Adi Hütter has made two changes following their 3-1 victory over Hamburg on Matchday 8. Jonathan Burkardt starts in place of the Eagles' leading goalscorer, Younes Ebnoutalib, while Ansgar Knauff replaces Keita Kosugi, which sees Elias Baum switch to the left.

Ralf Kettemann on facing Frankfurt

"Frankfurt are a superb Bundesliga team that have turned things around. We need to focus on defending against this attacking power together.

Adi Hütter on facing Paderborn

"We're facing an opponent that's particularly difficult to play against at home. A team that presses bravely forward but can also defend deep. We'll need solutions. They play a 5-3-2 with Steffen Tigges, a very experienced target man, and Stefan Marino, a faster player. They do very well both with and without the ball."

Battle of brothers?

Paderborn's Felix and Frankfurt's Mario Götze could face one another for the third time in the Bundesliga. The siblings met twice in 2018/19 while at Augsburg and Dortmund respectively, claiming one win each.

Ebnoutalib threat

The striker's six league goals this season are as many as Paderborn have scored so far in total.

Starting as they mean to go on

Paderborn have yet to finish a matchday in the automatic relegation places this season. They have spent only one week (between Matchdays 6 and 7) in the play-off spot so far.
