CLINICAL LEIPZIG TOO GOOD FOR COLOGNE
The boost of a new head coach was not enough to help Cologne get a memorable result against Leipzig. Forsberg's first brace and his first direct free-kick in the Bundesliga were the highlights of the 4-1 win which take Leipzig to second in the table, behind Borussia Mönchengladbach.

ADDED TIME
We're into two minutes of added time here in Leipzig.

UPAMECANO DOWN
The French centre-back - who has been outstanding tonight - is clipped late by Terodde and is receiving treatment. Hopefully he can continue, with all Leipzig substitutions already made.
87'
CRUISING TO VICTORY
Leipzig not stopping from going for goal here, although they will want better efforts than Sabitzer's free-kick moments ago. Four goals so far, will they add more before the end of the game? Currently 24 goals in five competitive appearances.
79'
WHAT A GOAL FROM FORSBERG!
Sabitzer and Halstenberg run over the free-kick leaving it for Forsberg to curl at goal, and he duly does. Over the wall, beyond Horn and into the back of the net in style. A superb strike to cap-off what will surely be three points for Leipzig.

DEBUT FOR SCHICK
The Roma loanee is on for his Bundesliga debut here, having overcome some injuries from the start of the season.

COLOGNE COMING INTO THIS
A couple of half chances for the away side in recent minutes with a corner headed over by Bornauw and Hector have a long-range shot blocked. They are keeping the ball and playing the better football right now. Another goal here would make the final minutes very interesting...
68'
HUGE CHANCE FOR MODESTE
The Cologne striker has been waiting for that chance all night. He times his run perfectly to meet Risse's dinked cross, but diverts his header wide of the target from eight yards out in front of goal. You expect Modeste to take those chances...
67'
WERNER FIRES OVER
Huge chance for Timo to get his brace as he is found by Forsberg with a neat pass across the edge of the box. Werner controls the ball and goes for goal, but sends his effort high over the crossbar.
63'
SABITZER SHOT BLOCKED
Leipzig keep the ball for a couple of minutes camped outside the Cologne box, ending with a shot on goal from Sabitzer which is blocked behind. The home side happy to work the ball around and be patient as they look for their fourth goal of the game.
57'
FORSBERG FIRES WIDE
The Swede is found in the box after Werner had taken the ball into the box. He takes a touch and shoots at goal on his left, but drags the strike wide across the face of the Cologne goal.
51'
NKUNKU AGAIN
A superb ball forward from Upamecano is controlled by Nkunku on the turn and he shoots at Horn's goal. The Cologne No.1 saves with his feet and his defence are able to clear with Werner lurking.
50'
SO CLOSE FROM NKUNKU
The Frenchman plays the ball out to the left for Halstenberg, who looks to return the ball to him in the box. He has a go for goal after the ball deflected up to him, but Bornauw blocks the effort.

SECOND HALF BEGINS
One change at the break with Florian Kainz on for Ellyes Skhiri in the Cologne midfield.

LEIPZIG DOMINATION
11-2 shots, 74 per cent of possession and a two-goal lead. Leipzig have been fantastic in this first half at being clinical. They have taken their chances superbly and made the most of their possession so far. However, Cologne have shown the threat they hold both on the counter-attack and from set-pieces. Six of their 11 goals this season have been headers - something for RBL to be wary of in the second half.

WERNER HAS A GO
AS he so often does, Werner drifts out to the left wing to collect a ball forward before going one-on-one with Bornauw. He cuts the ball past him inside onto his right and curls a shot at goal, but Horn is equal to it.
39'
COLOGNE RESPOND!
A corner swings in from Verstrate on the right and Czichos is perfectly placed to meet it and head the ball past Gulacsi from the near post. A glimmer of hope for Cologne here if they can find a way to stop the Leipzig attack.
37'
LAIMER SMASHES ONE HOME
What a hit from the Austrian who collects the ball at the edge of the box, moves it onto his "weaker" left-foot and piledrives the ball past Horn in style. Halstenberg, stood on the line, can only stand and applaud.
34'
COLOGNE TRYING EVERYTHING
Gisdol's side are trying to play out from the back and bring the ball up the pitch as a team, but Leipzig's pressing is overwhelming them so far in this game and the openings are being snuffed out by the home side's defence.
32'
FORSBERG SLOTS IT HOME
The Swedish midfielder steps up and smashes the ball past Horn - who had dived the right way - to double Leipzig's lead. As things stand, Nagelsmann's side sit just one point behind Gladbach in the table and ahead of Bayern on goal difference.
31'
LEIPZIG PENALTY
Nkunku is brought down by Ehizibue and Leipzig have the chance to make it 2-0 from the spot.
29'
NEW CLUB RECORD
Leipzig have now scored at least once in each of their last 13 Bundesliga matches and that's a new club record. You can imagine that on current form, they will score more this evening as well.
22'
LEIPZIG WILL TAKE THAT
Hector has possession in defence but loses the ball to Nkunku just outside the box. The Frenchman immediately looks up to find Werner alone in the middle of the box, and he dinks the ball over Horn and into the net for his 12th of the season.
15'
WERNER GETTING INVOLVED
The star man in attack has his first go on the ball. He collects possession outside the box and pushes the ball past a defender with his first touch. His pace takes him into the box and behind the Cologne defence, but he can't find Nkunku in the box with his pass.
11'
DEMME HAS A GO!
Sabitzer's free-kick is blocked by the Cologne wall but falls back to Demme, playing for Leipzig's football team in the same week he played for the club's E-Sports FIFA 20 team, fired a volley at goal. It was dipping, but just drifted over Timo Horn's crossbar.
9'
LEIPZIG ON TOP
As you'd expect, the home side are controlling the possession here. It's almost a 4-2-4 formation, with Nkunku and Forsberg high up the pitch supporting Werner, as well as Sabitzer out on the right wing. They're looking to break open the Cologne defence.
6'
UPAMECANO SCOOPS ONE WIDE
The ball glides from one side to the other across the Cologne box with Nkunku and Werner both crossing. The ball eventually came into the middle and Upamecano collects with his back to goal, but his effort bounces wide of the mark.
3'
JAKOBS HEADS WIDE
The 20-year-old winger making his second appearance in the Bundesliga is on the end of a cross from Czichos from the right, but his header goes wide at the near post.
