Yamal almost does it again!

The Spanish attacker cuts inside from the right and lets rip with another superb shot from just outside the box, which flies a fraction over.
79'

France exchange forwards

Olivier Giroud is on - indicating France may take a more aerial attacking approach with just over ten minutes remaining to level this.

Mikel Merino, whose late goal knocked Germany out of the quarter-finals, replaces Dani Olmo.

Hernández hoists over

Spain enjoy a useful spell of possession for a minute or two, which winds the clock down. When France win it back they work it forward for Hernández to shoot from outside the box, but it's well over.

Dembélé delivery

Dembélé hits a cross in from the right that Williams turns behind for a corner, which France fail to threaten from. There is little sign of the Spanish defence yielding anytime soon...

Dembélé down

Dembélé and Mbappe link up on the edge of the French box, and the winger goes down under a challenge, but nothing is given.
63'

Upa almost levels

Moments after France make a triple change, Bayern's Upamecano has a header at the far post from a corner. He heads powerfully into the turf of his home ground and wide.

Good spell for France

France enjoy a good spell of possession. The likelihood is they are going to have to commit more men forward the longer they remain behind, which should present chances for Spain on the break. Indeed, Williams almost gets in behind the defence now on a transition before Mbappe has a shot saved at the other end.
53'

France threaten

Koundé cuts the ball into the box and wins a corner, which Tchouaméni rises to head into the arms of Simon.

Bundesliga quartet one step from final

In addition to Upamecano, Coman and Olmo, Leverkusen's Alejandro Grimaldo (pictured) is on the Spain bench and in with a chance of securing a spot tonight in the big final in Berlin this Sunday.

Upa and King chez eux

Bayern's Dayot Upamecano starts on his home ground as expected - club teammate Coman will watch from the bench. But he's in the away dug-out, so at least he'll have a different view of the game from there.

Spain quick off the mark

The Spanish federation has published their starting line-up well before the hour before kick-off that we usually get to know who's playing. We're still waiting for France.

Olmo the creative hub

RB Leipzig's Spanish star starts in the highly creative trio behind captain and frontman Alváro Morata. He's been one of the stand-out performers of the tournament - how will he fare tonight?

Bayern love Spain too

Leverkusen's Bundesliga title-winning coach Xabi Alonso (2014-17), of course, first came to German football as a player at Bayern, while Thiago Alcantara spent seven years in Bavaria (2013-20). Both were outdone by Javi Martínez, who was part of two treble-winning squads during a nine-year stint (2012-21).
camera-photo

Bayern's French connection

New signing Michael Olise is actually the 15th French player to join Bayern - he will line up with compatriots Kingsley Coman, Sacha Boey, Dayot Upamecano and Mathys Tel next season.

Special one for Ribéry

Franck Ribéry won nine Bundesliga titles during 12 legend-building years at Bayern (2007-19). The former France international winger will no doubt be watching this one as it is being played in the Allianz Arena that he made his home.

Shots raining in?

Spain have had the most goal attempts (102), France the second-most (89). Accuracy has been a problem for the French with just over 23% of their efforts on target - Spain are at 34%.

Watch: Olmo's Munich hat-trick

The Allianz Arena may be home for Upamecano, but Olmo also has very fond memories of this stadium after scoring a hat-trick here for Leipzig in last summer's 3-0 Supercup win over Upa's Bayern.

Dani Olmo and Dayot Upamecano were once RB Leipzig teammates, but now they're Bundesliga and even Euro 2024 rivals ahead of tonight's semi-final in Munich.

Coaches' Corner

Both Luis de la Fuente and Didier Deschamps were in defiant mood ahead of Tuesday's clash. Spain's head coach was beaming with positivity, telling UEFA.com that - "My players are insatiable", however, he will not be letting his team get ahead of themselves "There’s always room for improvement, of course, but we can't question their pride, quality and commitment." Deschamps was slightly more subdued, but determined as ever - "We're in the semi-finals and it's something we shouldn't take for granted, even if we may be used to it recently...Now we go to win it."

Watch: Bayern Munich stadium experience

Let's take a look at the venue for Tuesday night's semi-final...

Head-to-head

Despite being two heavyweights of European football, these two sides don't meet very often. Their last encounter was a UEFA Nations League final in 2021, which saw France take the title courtesy of goals from Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema. Before this, the two sides had met in friendlies, one which saw Spain win 2-0 with goals coming from David Silva and Gerard Deulofeu in 2017, and the other seeing Loïc Rémy score the only goal of the game in a French win in 2014.
camera-photo

How they got here: France

France have struggled for goals so far this tournament, but through their defensive resilience and ability to win games with so few chances they have reached a semi-final. So far, Les Bleus have only conceded one goal, which was in the group stages, and have come through tough tests against the Netherlands, Belgium and Portugal unscathed to set up an enticing fixture with a free-flowing Spain side.
camera-photo

How they got here: Spain

Spain's quarter-final fixture saw them face the hosts Germany who had won their group and looked impressive in the early stages of the tournament. Spain had also topped their group containing Italy, Croatia and Albania and confidently swept Georgia aside in the round of 16, before winning an end-to-end battle in dramatic fashion against Germany in Stuttgart to set up an equally mouthwatering semi-final.
